As a Program Management professional, you will help client's set up, manage, and operate their most complex projects, define functional requirements for technology solutions, and design and derive transformative approaches for technology systems working with a world-class team of technology professionals from Deloitte Consulting.

Work You'll Do

As an Application Modernization & Innovation Program Manager, Consultant you will bring strong and in-depth functional and project management solutions to clients with a focus on achieving a high level of performance and quality, and delivery of both agile and traditional projects that provide exceptional business value to users. Our projects are both large and complex. You will have the technical foundation and knowledge to work with a core group of technology professionals.

You will:

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies.
  • Manage small teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures. Your background in technology will give you the foundation to manage these streams but also understand the technology.
  • Manage several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment potentially crossing multiple business divisions.
  • Use good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach suitable for planning and managing the effort.
  • Coach members of the team as needed to optimize efficiency of the project team
  • Create and develop project scope and schedule. Plan and assign resources to associated tasks and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress of the project, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions.
  • Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs to keep the project plan accurate, updated, as defined in the change management plan.
  • Identify high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints. Implement approved actions and workarounds to minimize the impact of risks on the project.
  • Develop and maintain communication with key project stakeholders and decision-makers .
  • Achieve project goals within designated project constraints.

AM&I is composed of three different areas- Service Delivery & Business Design, Application Modernization & Migration and Quality Engineering.

    Qualifica t ions:

    AMI Program Manager, Consultant candidates are required to have:
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as strong knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • 3+ years of relevant management consulting or industry experience.
  • 2+ years planning and managing project initiatives in a Project Management Office or similar team environment working on custom software development-related projects.
  • 2+ years of experience with Project Management Tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • 2+ years of experience with Requirements Management and Traceability tools such as the IBM Rational suite and HP Quality Center.
  • 2+ years of experience translating requirements into optimized designs and identifying alternatives.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agile methodologies including 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • Travel up to 5 0% (While 5 0% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

    In addition, successful Consultants will have the following preferred background:
  • Experience leading fit gap analysis for migrating applications to Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Force.com.
  • Experience participating in the testing of applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Force.com, and/or Google Cloud Platforms.
  • Experience with agile tools such as Rally and Jira.
  • Experience leading small teams.
  • Experience in work planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting technical requirements.
  • Experience managing design activities including design sessions and defining future state processes.
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers.
  • Experience working with and managing onshore, offshore and remote teams.
  • Experience with industry-standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.)

Work You'll Do/Responsibilities

  • Work with DevOps resources and tech leads to improve their skills and identify growth and leadership opportunities
  • Work with GCO team to schedule and deliver automated reporting required by pod teams for clients and CMS leadership
  • Be aware of the overall technical scope and architecture for projects assigned; update regularly
  • Review the completeness and quality of the project for work completed by team members
  • Facilitate issue resolution and build tasks for DevOps team members on projects
  • Be aware and report open incidents, project changes, near-approaching SLA breaches, and past- due build dates
  • Work with the tech lead for your projects to deliver any root-cause documents, reports, or other documentation required by the client
  • Work with the implementation project manager, operations lead, and tech lead to plan the delivery of the CMS project scope
  • Provide status reporting for CMS tasks into the overall implementation-project reporting mechanism
  • Work with CMS tech lead, implementation project tech lead, and CMS architect to facilitate the design of the landscape during the build phase
  • Work with tech lead and Pod lead to develop a working relationship with client counterpart
  • Develop the Service Delivery plan for the engagement

  • Experience with Continually monitoring SNOW Queues for assigned project tasks
  • Must have an active or be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
  • Must live in or able to relocate to Gilbert, AZ, Mechanicsburg, PA, or Lake Mary, FL area.

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Project Manager who wants a challenging, but rewarding, career opportunity to join a dynamic team working with and exposed to the latest technology in automotive testing.

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing the verification and validation test plan according to the defined project deliverables. This includes identifying resources, securing budget, and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Deliver and manage the Verification & Validation (V&V) test plan

Deliver vehicle feature requirements and manage vehicle feature reviews

Deliver project requirements with Quality, on-time Delivery, maintain Cost and fulfill vehicle Feature targets(QDCF)

Responsible to manage and secure that all activities for verification and validation of features and vehicle regulations are identified, planned, optimized and completed

Manage all incoming test requests through risk management approach, with support of Feature Leaders

Verify & validate HW & SW, components, systems and functions in the V&V plan

Represent FVV (Features, Verification & Validation) in project management teams, design reviews, clinics, etc.

Identify necessary resources and related costs such as simulation, rig test & test trucks to execute the V&V plan

Lead feature reviews and report feature fulfillment, verification and validation status

Deliver feature requirements on a module level and support the break down to components, systems and functions

Deliver input to project documentation (e.g. requirement specification, project description, PAP/PDP, risk register, lessons learned)

Provide Vehicle and Powertrain engineering with prototypes and measurements (HW & SW, components and systems) during development to secure product maturity Ensure that project time plans (level 1-3, commodity/module) cover all activities needed to fully verify and validated components, systems and functions

Education, Experience, Knowledge And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering; Masters degree preferred

Leadership Experience Preferred

5-10 years of engineering/project management experience (automotive industry preferred

Ability to manage projects in more than one functional area in more than one location with 20-50 people total

Ability to manage projects of medium/low integration complexity

Experience with AGILE methodology is a plus

Experience with application projects

Ability to manage projects with budgets ranging from 0.6 - 12 MUSD

Proven ability to manage projects with low or medium risk level

Familiarity with North American automotive safety regulations(FMVSS/CMVSS) is preferred

Quality tool skills (Risk analysis, FMEA, Project Assurance quality)
