Job description

Position Summary

Agilant is seeking an experienced and passionate solutions training manager who will be responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing training programs for IT solutions sales readiness initiatives. Your passion for knowledge and enabling others through advanced learning methodologies will lead to the identification of gaps, development, landing, and optimization of successful training programs.

A successful candidate will be an individual with tenacity and a desire to own every aspect of the training process and strategic initiatives. You will exhibit a desire for life-long learning and combine your solid understanding of sales and sales methodologies with learning management skills and experience. This individual will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, Solutions Directors and SMEs to develop and enhance learning capabilities and should have outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Successful candidates with think with the big picture in mind, while possessing the skills required to tactically execute effective training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & conduct group training presentations to targeted sales audiences either in face-to-face or online scenarios.
  • Work with Cloud Executives in order to create custom and targeted Cloud (AWS, Azure & Google) training for sales and engineering.
  • Provide progress reports on training initiatives and challenges to Sales and Engineering leadership
  • Create and standardize training paths for new Sales and technical resources and structure ongoing training path for existing teams.
  • Work with training platforms, such as Lynda.com and Udemy.com in order to put together training related to ITIL, business processes, etc.
  • Develop a curriculum for training Sales team on Solutions selling, including but not limited to, working with Technology and Sales leadership for content develop and delivery modality.
  • Put together a process that enables recording of all appropriate training sessions
  • Coordination with web development and marketing team in order to share pre-approved videos and content online.
  • Create a streamline process for approval of video and training material online
  • Create, develop and maintain training curriculum for Agilant Sales, technical and operations team that are entirely remote.
  • Observe, analyze and report on the progress of an exclusive Cloud Sales team in accordance with guidelines set by leadership.
  • Select, utilize or assist in development of training performance indicator tools and platforms.
  • Develop and observe best practices in role execution and related processes/job functions and establish these approaches as global standards.
  • Develop a cross-functional feedback loop and implement suggestions for improvement where necessary across training initiatives
  • Ensure training programs align with other initiatives and add value to business objectives
  • Proactively drive and support change and continuous improvement
  • Take a hands-on approach across program management, training logistics, content creation, and data analysis
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and on-boarding of new sales representatives.
  • Be role model in the development and implementation of comprehensive learning strategies to drive Agilant solution sales competence with customers.
  • Provide a point of escalation and issue resolution for training program related problems or opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership around learning and building a learning culture within Agilant and with customers.
  • Utilize systems/tools for providing accurate forecasting and pipeline updates; preparing and delivering meaningful business reviews to senior leaders
  • Operate with a high degree of personal integrity and accountability for self and others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required with master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of proven field technical community development and/or community management experience in a technology role with experience across multiple disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in high performing teams that design, build, evaluate, support, or continuously improve global technical programs. Learning and capability development experience desirable
  • Proven experience as a trusted advisor in engagement and influence with senior leaders.
  • Experience in change management and leading complex, strategic, & structured organization-wide programs and projects.
  • Excellent communications skills and executive presence; ability to represent Agilant and be inspirational and influential in mobilizing customers, partners, communities and our internal teams around a culture of learning
  • Experience working with sales and customers, and the ability to translate that experience into strategic insight that influences development and delivery of future technology training programs
  • Proven effectiveness driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes, driving cross-team programs to desired results, and managing risk
  • Proven competency in influencing for impact, organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, drive for results, and strong written and verbal communications
  • Self-starter and driven to success, with an entrepreneur mentality
  • Outstanding skills in sales operations, planning and personnel management
  • Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to deliver results quickly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for Planning, evaluating, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluation of multifaced technology solution and programs to solve business problems.
  • Develop and execute the implementation plans focused on specific objectives including IT Asset Management Program, RFID technology, Project Planning, and Collaboration solutions, etc.
  • Serves as principal evangelist and liaison with Internal IT customers and provide day-to-day technical guidance to the area of expertise including project planning and management support and coaching to LIPA functional areas.
  • Support on short-term issues- focused research. Provide analysis, findings, and recommendations.
  • Big-picture person responsible for Supporting the CIO to plan and deploy the Business-Centric solutions.
  • A big-picture person responsible for supporting the visioning and conceptual development of integrated programs including strategic planning, management studies, etc.
  • Must demonstrate in-depth understanding of IT planning methodology, IT management issues, technology architectures, and general plan implementation issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on expertise and experience and understanding of utilities and broad subject- matter expertise in utility functional domains.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in IT Operations or System development/integration.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on IT project management experience with strong knowledge in IT Asset and Service Management, Project Planning and reporting technologies, and enterprise process integration and workflow integration.
  • Hands-on experience in implementation(s) of Project Management, workflow, Collaboration, and Asset Management, RFID solution in utility industry.
  • Bachelors' degree in computer science, engineering, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
