Also, previous experience in managing people within a scientific/clinical environment is required.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the successful planning, implementation and execution of contracted activities. Assures the accurate transfer of contracts from proposal through project completion. Functionally responsible for all team members throughout the duration of each clinical trial. Assures clear client communication, process documentation, and compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and procedures set forth by IQVIA Biotech and sponsors. Supports the department director in development of functional training, mentoring, and definition of standards and execution of department goals including process improvement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all activities related to implementation of clinical studies including:

  • Manages projects of full scope regional and global projects. Responsible for project team leadership
  • Responsible for building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Ability to negotiate with clients to assure IQVIA Biotech’s operational processes are maintained, projects are done within scope
  • Reviewing and identifying project study trends and proactively responding to client and respective team members
  • Developing appropriate early warning systems of potential obstacles to the successful completion of the projects; analyzes information and develops innovative solutions to challenges
  • Identifying, define, document training requirements in LMS systems and assure project level compliance with study specific training requirements
  • Responsible for change management on all assigned projects
  • Responsible for assuring projects assigned are run according to SOPs and WP as refined in the contract
  • Responsible for assuring project timelines are met as per contract
  • Responsible for identifying processes which need updating and documenting that to the direct line manager or divisional lead
  • Responsible for maintaining client relationships for all assigned work, keeping all project reporting current, and assuring executive management is aware
  • In conjunction with management, assists with developing, documenting, and updating internal processes and processes required for consistency across programs such as SOPs, working practices, and related quality assurance forms.
  • Provide other project support to Managers, as assigned
  • Oversee delegation of support staff activities, as necessary
  • Assists in the development and delivery of capability and proposal defense presentations to prospective clients
  • Supports Contracts and Proposals with final project contract execution and CIS documentation by the project team. Represents senior management in negotiation of contracts as appropriate.
  • Participates in the performance appraisal program by providing timely and accurate feedback regarding the performance of respective team members at least annually
  • Maintains current knowledge of FDA regulations, and GCP and ICH Guidelines for clinical research.
  • Responsible to maintain personal currency documentation for IQVIA Biotech SOPs, CAPA completion and timesheet maintenance including assurance or back-up PM staff at every instance of out of office

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of clinical research process from Phase I through regulatory submission
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to express complex ideas
  • Excellent and demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact with all levels of staff to coordinate and execute study activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a variety of complex clinical trials
  • Ability to reason independently for the purpose of assessing and recommending specific solutions in clinical settings
  • Ability to set baseline targets, track trends and implement mitigation plans
  • Understanding of basic data processing functions, including electronic data capture
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and financial negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of current ICH GCP guidelines

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA CRITERIA:

  • Very limited physical effort required to perform normal job duties.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required including international travel

  • Create project timelines, and manage creative, development milestones and deliverables.

  • Manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated to the product and account leads.

Job Overview

A Senior Project Manager/Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within Data Solutions. The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills.

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor junior architects and other delivery team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large data platform implementations including multi-shore and multi-capability.
  • Define program operating model for a large, multi-shore, multiple business unit level program with complex eco-system of client personas, vendor personas, and Perficient teams
  • Define and have a clear, high level understanding of the project/program goals and the status towards them, to be able to articulate progress, milestones achieved, risks and issues to any internal or external stakeholder, even if possible, help the team anticipate and prevent issues with adequate risk management and laser focus on goal-orientation
  • See the whole picture (the forest, not the tree) of the business, it's drivers, actors involved and processes, that will allow him to help the team that is more on the day to day on not losing sight of that big picture and the north they are following
  • Define the goals of the program and key KPI's/OKR's to measure and monitor them
  • Proactively develop strong relationships with Business and IT leaders from the C-suite level to front line delivery consultant
  • Build trust with clients, stakeholders and team members alike, with empathy, great communication and negotiation skills
  • Create evaluation frameworks and facilitate project prioritization discussions and decisions.
  • Drive guidance and leadership around resource planning against the prioritized portfolio of projects

  • Coordinate and support the following Resource Groups and Membership Committees:
  • Small Business Roundtable (SBRT) – Resource Group
  • Solopreneurs – Resource Group
  • Manufacturers Council – Resource Group
  • Agri-Business Council – Membership Committee
  • Support networking programming of the Chamber such as:
  • Business Before Hours
  • Business After Hours
  • PIVOT
  • Power Hour Lunches
  • Produce plans, timelines, and budgets for all assigned programs, as well as other assigned events.
  • Use and understand Chamber Master, the Chamber’s database management platform, for program registration and data collection related to each event/program and finances.
  • Develop, retain, and pro-actively recruit volunteers by maintaining and sharing an up-to-date volunteer job description for event related committees.
  • Manage all aspect of the divisions, resource groups, membership committees and subsidiaries assigned including communication, meetings set-up, meeting agendas, meeting minutes and other correspondence.
  • Work directly with the Event Services Manager related to Ag Awareness Breakfast and Ag Awards Dinner overseen by the Agri-Business Council.
  • Assist other team members with event/program logistics as necessary.

  •  Oversee Committee / Division / Subsidiary Volunteers

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of equivalent related experience in relevant field (i.e.: business administration, human resources, marketing, education/training or another related field).
  • Experience with managing leadership programs and/ or educational programming including coordination and execution.
  • Experience with volunteer management and oversight.
  • Experience with program budgeting and meeting financial goals for programs.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Proficient in networking and customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative.
  • Proficient with time management and juggling multiple competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated public relations skills and political acumen, and ability to synthesize input from a diverse variety of interests into a coherent strategic agenda.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.Able to work with internal and external contacts at all levels.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal.
  • Understand and utilize the Chamber’s style guide for all oral and written internal and external communication.
  • Review regularly Chamber social media and sponsored websites for updates and accuracy.
  • Follow the Chamber actively on social media.
  • Maintain a current LinkedIn Account to be used on the “staff” page of the website.
  • Communicate consistently and exchange information with team members, effectively and with correct information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands:   

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and be able to move about inside the office to access office equipment/storage.  
  • Operate a computer/PC and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, printers and must have the ability to use hands to handle, control or feel objects or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to lift to 10 pounds and occasionally move objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb stairs, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulders to access materials and/or documentation.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish accounting and administrative data.
  • Hearing ability to perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.

Work Environment: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • This position involves extended work hours including early morning and evening meetings/events. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TRAVEL

This position requires day travel within Bloomington/Normal and McLean County. May require travel which could include overnight stays. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
