The Role

The Marketing Program Manager reports into the Director of Brand Marketing and works closely with growth marketing, product, creative and content teams to develop programs that realize the essence of the brand and drive business results across marketing channels. Programs span products and affinity groups as well as channels, including experiential/activation marketing, paid programmatic, traditional media, and content marketing depending on the strategy and program focus. The Marketing Program Manager scopes, plans, coordinates channel integration, facilitates meetings, monitors budget/spending from initiation through delivery of marketing. Working closely with cross-functional teams, they are focused on delivering programs that measurably increases demand generation and growth.

Your Day-to-day

  • Contribute to strategy, scoping, planning, coordination and execution of assigned marketing programs in partnership with marketing, content, creative, channel and media teams
  • Deeply understand our target customer, fully immersing yourself in competitive products, trends, and opportunities in the insurance space and with lifestyle brands to which we we aspire
  • Help establish and grow target market share through marketing programs with a focus on activations
  • Craft marketing programs and insights-driven creative briefs that inspire our internal and external partners to deliver results-oriented, differentiated work
  • Provide insightful guidance when working with creative & content teams to solidify positioning, identity and voice, together building tactical executions that deliver results
  • Monitor program budgets; deliver robust plans for each program element; develop targets, project management; measures, and reporting mechanisms; proactively interface with marketing leadership ongoing; and, deliver on goals consistently based on overall company strategy, all within resource constraints
  • Measure and regularly disseminate marketing performance including strategic insights and pointed recommendations for how to optimize and improve programs
  • Support the development and and presentation of high-quality documents and presentations to Growth leadership
  • Coordinate relevant agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers as needed/as appropriate to deliver marketing programs
  • Partner with Research & Insights to perform market research that aids in marketing program execution

About You

  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Demonstrated results in problem solving, strategic and creative thinking
  • Comfort with generating strategies and marketing programs, and getting those plans delivered in an integrated and impactful way
  • Experience coordinating multiple channels and programs at once, including integrated campaign management with measured goals
  • Depth of knowledge in demand generation marketing
  • Outstanding communication skills with a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to guide, evaluate, and if necessary, redirect daily activities
  • Ability to extract insights from multiple data sources, and make informed decisions that balance the art and science required to build a lasting brand
  • Strong grasp of the creative development process, aligning your activities to those of your team and overall priorities
  • Exceptional prioritization and project management skills
  • Passionate, positive, self-starter who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Slack and Jira preferred

  • Salary: We pay competitive salaries factoring in experience, skill set, and location. We do not offer equity.

Job Description

At the Red Cross, there is no such thing as a small disaster. In every single case it is the Red Cross’ mission to help people affected by disaster meet their emergency needs that include shelter, food, clothing, and health and mental health services. As a paid staff member, you will support our loyal Red Cross disaster volunteers who serve selflessly to provide a bridge of assistance until individuals and families can resume a normal life.

The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Sr. Program Manager for Direct Services to work in the Illinois Region. This is a full-time position. This position will work Monday - Friday with planned and unplanned evenings and/or weekends. You must be willing to work on call 24/7. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required to operate a Red Cross vehicle. *All full time disaster employees must be willing and able to be deployed, as needed.*

Manage the implementation of the disaster services program in an assigned geographic territory based on the regional configuration. Lead and manage a team of local Disaster Program Managers and Supervisors responsible for the implementation of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery programs in the local area. Plan, direct, and implement department, service or program overall strategic goals and objectives. Ensure the development of Disaster leadership volunteers in each of the program support functional areas of the disaster cycle in order to meet the needs of the territory, region, state and division. Responsible for local preparation, response and recovery management as well as management of government partnerships with assigned territory. Drivers for this work include the number of municipalities within its coverage area, the amount and complexity of program activity, presence of significant grant funding, geography, risk, population, frequency of events, and regional structure. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Responsibilities

1: Implement strategies, initiatives, processes and procedures that support the successful day-to-day and major disaster, relief and recovery operations. Manage disaster services program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in a territory in alignment with established metrics. Support consistent service delivery strategies and plans. Evaluate and report on the capacity and effectiveness of programs and services. Prepare recommendations for continuous improvement.

2: Lead and manage a primarily volunteer team responsible for the implementation of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery programs in the local area. Ensure the development of Disaster leadership volunteers in each of the program support functional areas of the disaster cycle in order to meet the needs of the territory, region, state and division. Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports and volunteers.

3: Act in a facilitative leader role across the disaster cycle. Align with government and work to enable the entire community to participate in all phases of the disaster cycle by shifting from being not only a provider of direct services but also a facilitative leader. Within scope of position, represent the entire disaster cycle of preparedness, response and recovery.

4: Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key internal & external partners/organizations. Serve as the Red Cross thought leader on a local level with government and other agencies and organizations involved in disaster. Ensure interface with community leaders, corporations, businesses and government agencies. Participate in local planning, exercises, and training, to include exercises called by local partners (VOADs, EMAs and LEPCs).

5: Mobilize the local community to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. Meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders. Develop human and material resources (volunteers, partners, community agencies, shelter and vendor agreements etc.) to ensure the full cycle of disaster services is delivered.

6: Execute a comprehensive district response when required. Manage local responses by the deployment volunteers on a daily basis in a rapid and accessible manner. Serve during times of disaster as the operational leadership for the territory/local level. Participate in a leadership role on larger operations regionally, division or nationwide.

7: Ensure that American Red Cross services are available to diverse communities.

Scope: Interpret and administer policies, process, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate units.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Skills & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of program or service and ability to create presentations and develop training modules. Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Proven track record of collaboration, facilitation, problem solving, marketing, leadership, and partnership management. Ability for planning, public speaking, project management and process improvement required. Must be customer oriented, organized, and able to operate with an orientation toward solutions with an external focus, and team orientation. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws. Must be able to perform all assigned responsibilities under “grey sky” requirements. Ensure all American Red Cross finance policies and procedures are followed as related to the scope of work activity. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Travel may be required.

Role Overview

The IT Program Manager position will plan, supervise, and manage the direction of multiple medium-size projects with a single aim and/or one large strategic project at local, regional, or global levels. Responsibilities

Develop, and act as a custodian for, the project/program vision

  • Define the project/program objectives and provide input into the Business Case
  • Ensure that projects/programs successfully control and monitor progress, addressing risk and issue management, resource conflicts, effective communications, and stakeholder involvement, as appropriate
  • Recommend course of action regarding project/program issues and concerns, implement mitigation plans, then escalate risks and issues as necessary
  • Work with financial stakeholders to support budget construction, as required, and to control expenditure to achieve financial objectives
  • Allocate resources in accordance with strategic and tactical priorities and company goals and objectives. Request project team membership from other department, if required. Actively compare competing needs and benefits against existing work and strategies.
  • Ensure that staff follows IQVIA System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and Computer System Validation (CSV) procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and review methods to assess quality and efficiency of work performed by team, including metrics, internal process improvement, Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions
  • Actively assist in the strategy for continuous improvement to project management best practices
  • Assist the IT Program Director in removing potential barriers that limit the effective delivery of IT projects/programs within the organization
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of internal, external, and off-the-shelf business applications with all IT and business groups
  • Maintain knowledge of the IT industry; analyze the abilities of tools and technologies, compare with the need of the business, then recommend potential solutions to managers within the business
  • Manage and mentor staff in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems; approving actions for Human Resource matters

  • In conjunction with management, assists with developing, documenting, and updating internal processes and processes required for consistency across programs such as SOPs, working practices, and related quality assurance forms.
  • Provide other project support to Managers, as assigned
  • Oversee delegation of support staff activities, as necessary
  • Assists in the development and delivery of capability and proposal defense presentations to prospective clients
  • Supports Contracts and Proposals with final project contract execution and CIS documentation by the project team. Represents senior management in negotiation of contracts as appropriate.
  • Participates in the performance appraisal program by providing timely and accurate feedback regarding the performance of respective team members at least annually
  • Maintains current knowledge of FDA regulations, and GCP and ICH Guidelines for clinical research.
  • Responsible to maintain personal currency documentation for IQVIA Biotech SOPs, CAPA completion and timesheet maintenance including assurance or back-up PM staff at every instance of out of office

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of clinical research process from Phase I through regulatory submission
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to express complex ideas
  • Excellent and demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact with all levels of staff to coordinate and execute study activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a variety of complex clinical trials
  • Ability to reason independently for the purpose of assessing and recommending specific solutions in clinical settings
  • Ability to set baseline targets, track trends and implement mitigation plans
  • Understanding of basic data processing functions, including electronic data capture
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and financial negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of current ICH GCP guidelines

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA CRITERIA:

  • Very limited physical effort required to perform normal job duties.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required including international travel
  • Must be able to secure a credit card cosigned by IQVIA Biotech

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

  • Previous Management Requirements:
  • Nursing or University degree (US Bachelor Level or equivalent) in a health-related field with at least five (5) years direct clinical trial experience in a CRO or research-related organization with at least two (2) years management experience OR
  • Equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in managing people within a scientific/clinical environment is required.
  • Demonstrated Clinical Monitoring and/or Data Management experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills required
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and work with in a matrix team environment is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Prior experience in electronic data capture preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required.
