The Hotel Construction Project Manager takes part in all aspects of a project, including scope of work development, design, planning, pre-construction, construction, close out, and post follow- up. The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in hotel-specific renovations. The Project Manager will ensure the scope is meticulously executed and quality is consistently maintained. They will ensure all parties execute the scope of work, contract, brand standards, and quality requirements. The candidate will be able to thrive in high pressure environments while utilizing the utmost level of problem solving. They will effectively manage relationships with sub-contractors, vendors, employees and support staff. Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to adhere with major hotel brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, etc.) with the skillset to understand and facilitate hotel operations
  • Proficient in building phasing schedules; enforcing, monitoring and adapting project schedules; and communicating progress, delays, and other conflicts
  • Ability to read plans, perform take offs, and foresee issues
  • Deep understanding of critical path development
  • Experience in high levels of client management
  • Proficiency with all AIA documents, RFIs, and submittals
  • Ability to create a rooms out of order matrix
  • High levels of pre-construction and estimating experience
  • Manage change orders and change order logs with in-field management and ownership

  • Coordinate FF&E/material receiving, inventory, & installation
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relations from pre-construction and project kick-off through project close-out, utilizing cohesive schedules and daily task lists
  • Monitor and communicate scopes of work for individual sub-contractors
  • Execute owner contract, SOW, AFP’s, SOV’s, and lien waivers
  • Instigate and drive regular meetings with hotel ownership
  • Ensure safety and OSHA compliance with infield teams
  • Maintain clean, safe working conditions

  • Experience in traveling construction groups preferred

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Previous estimating and bidding experience
  • Strong proficiency of estimating and management software
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounts receivable and accounts.
  • Consistent work ethic and positive attitude
  • Must be on time and have reliable transportation
  • Proven strong communication skills

We are currently looking for a Healthcare Project Manager for construction projects located in mid and southeast Michigan.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Working directly with a Sr. PM, Project Director or VP, a Clark Project Manager:

  • focused on client satisfaction,
  • is responsible for the overall completion of the project in a timely manner, safely and at the quality level agreed upon with the client,
  • Plans the project execution, establishes the schedule (in MS Project, Phoenix or P6), and controls its implementation rigorously

  • Leads constructability review and clash detections (relying on BIM)

  • Produces financial reports (Profit Projections, Cash Flows and Billings) accurately and in a timely fashion,
  • Leads the Owner Meetings and keep the Client informed at the level of detail requested by the latter
  • Communicates very effectively with all involved parties (Client, A/E, contractors and team members),
  • Plans and leads the close-out process at the outset, keeping all parties involved (Owner, A&E, Trade Contractors) well informed of its steps and implications,
  • Ensure all elements are available and accurate for Client billing on agreed upon dates,
  • Maintains a cooperative spirit among all parties, keeping in mind the overall project objectives,
  • Coaches team members under his/her responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lead PM on healthcare multi-phased projects involving ER, OR, LDR, CT/MRI
  • Has lead the construction of healthcare projects in the $5 million to $50 million range, including in operating hospitals,
  • Experience with Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM)
  • Excellent planning and scheduling skills (using MS Project, Phoenix or P6),
  • Superior understanding of BIM and related software,
  • A proven track record of safe, timely and successful completion of projects,
  • A high sensitivity to the Client’s needs,
  • A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all involved parties (Client, A/E, contractors and team members),
  • Must hold a 4-year college degree, preferably in Construction Management or Civil Engineering,
  • Be Familiar with Prolog as well as Textura and Plan Grid will be considered a plus,
  • Operate in a cooperative spirit with all third parties involved: Clients, A &E, Trade Contractors,
  • OSHA 30 certified.
