CAMPUS AND PROGRAMS MANAGER

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Campus and Programs Manager will take the lead to design and implement strategies for our existing campus outreach and internship program while also creating relationships with professional organizations in alignment with our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies. The Campus and Programs Manager will work directly with senior leadership across the bank and will play an active role in the design, implementation of presentations on campus and virtually, as well as create a roadmap of job fairs that position the bank equitably across many communities as a way to strengthen our position in our talent strategies. Interviewing and scheduling will also be a part of this role. This person will work in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, the HR community and the bank directly.

Human Resources Division

Through this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference as a member of City National's Human Resources team, a diverse and dynamic group focused on supporting the full lifecycle of colleagues through an exceptional workplace experience.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Design and create campus recruiting strategy as well as relationships with professional organizations in alignment with our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies for talent across all disciplines and levels.
  • Manage all campus and program activities to include: on-campus and in-house activities, presentations, interviews, and networking events.
  • Recruit Summer Internship program interns and other early or emerging career and targeted talent pipelines.
  • Leverage data analytics to measure and improve recruiting results, best practices, performance management, compensation, and retention.
  • In partnership with Learning and Development, develop rotational and trainee programs to serve as a pipeline of talent within specific business verticals.

What Do You Need To Succeed

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 8+ years of recruiting experience
  • Minimum 5 years of program design and management

  • Previous experience designing campus and targeted talent pool pipelines.

The Data Solutions and Services (DSS) team within Technology Chief Operations Office(TCOO) group is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master/ This role will entail strong partnership with our Commercial Banking Product owners to review the product roadmap and plan out delivery for various business goals and will also require a strong partnership with the delivery team to help articulate the dependencies, lead times, proper grooming of requirements etc. to ensure that right scope is planned for delivery and getting delivered on an on-going basis. A successful candidate will help attain the above goals along with helping the team with agile transformation and maturity through establishing better velocity, committed to delivery percentages and higher maturity score.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Facilitating the scrum process on scrum teams with cross-functional impacts that involve moderately complex project, non-project, or maintenance work.
  • Guiding the scrum team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Using empirical data to help the team(s) assess their Scrum Maturity, optimize scrum team velocity to organizational KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Proactively addressing systemic impediments to team agility and guides the team(s) on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers.
  • Coaching scrum team(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
  • Partnering with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Partnering with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects.
  • Driving Scrum adoption across all levels in the organization.
  • Facilitating and accountable for owning the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the scrum team(s).
  • Partnering with Product owners, Program or Project Managers to communicate delivery of work product from the scrum team and escalates key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
  • Identifying skills and competencies of scrum team members and makes adjustments accordingly to promote development and highly effective teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of practical Agile experience (e.g. Product Owner, Business Analyst, Developer on a scrum team, Project Manager, or Business System Consultant working directly with scrum teams)
  • 1+ year of experience as a practicing Scrum Master

Desired Qualifications

  • 8+ years business experience in a matrixed management environment (e.g. product development, project management, implementation)
  • 4+ years of JIRA experience
  • 2+ years of financial services experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
  • Ability to manage complex data and reporting projects requiring coordination of resources at different levels both internally and externally
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Knowledge and understanding of system including business requirement design or review, release management, and system issue resolution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Lean Six Sigma preferred but not required
  • Mortgage industry knowledge highly preferred

  • Demonstrates analytical, organizational, and documentation competencies to perform business analysis project tasks as required
