The Advanced Solutions portfolio in the Communication, Navigation, and Guidance business has an immediate need for a Program Manager in our growing Cyber & Security portfolio. This Program Manager will lead and have profit and loss responsibility for Research & Development programs, both internally and externally funded. The program manager will also lead and organize pursuit and proposal efforts to capture new programs within the Deptartment of Defense and other Agencies. The Program Manager will interface with a cross functional team of other program managers, business development, strategy and engineering personnel to develop transition plans for new technologies and capabilities to business units across Mission Systems to fuel future business growth and solve the most challenging and emerging customer mission problems.

This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Have demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Have demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams
  • Have demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in remote locations and time zones
  • Have demonstrated ability to provide positive interface with DoD customers (DARPA, AFRL, NRL, NSA, etc.) and Prime contractors that will be integrating our technology
  • Possess current U.S. Secret Clearance Required. Top Secret desired. (Requires US Citizenship)
  • Be able to travel up to 25%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess or have the ability to possess a clearance up to the TS/SCI level
  • Have experience with products and systems in the following areas: cyber security/resiliency, multi-level security (MLS), communications, datalinks, open standards/architectures, and AI/Machine learning

Geotab is seeking a Project Manager for Order Now who will be responsible for managing key cross-functional projects and initiatives that vary in scope and complexity with impact on several business areas across the organization. What You’ll Do

A critical part of this position is to bring on existing Marketplace Partners into the Order Now program, allowing customers and resellers to easily order products from our shopping channels. As a suitable candidate, you will have to understand the software, hardware and other concepts associated with the vendor’s product and how it will integrate into various work streams within Geotab. The key is to have a seamless customer and reseller experience, and provide a high quality product.

The Project Manager for Order Now will actively work with all internal and external workstream leaders to implement and maintain the new Order Now partners selected. This position will oversee and support the day-to-day activities of the Order Now partners assigned, including overseeing other teams related to billing, shipping and support issues with our Order Now Partners.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Onboard existing Marketplace Partner(s) into the Order Now Marketplace Program.
  • Work with all internal and external workstream leaders to successfully implement a Marketplace Partner into all areas of the business - this includes Operations, Fulfillment, Support, Marketing, Solution Engineering and Development, Billing and Finance, Product Training and Sales.
  • Meet with Marketplace Partner and identify scope of work and level of effort to successfully integrate them into the Marketplace Program, while working back with internal workstream leaders to get sign off on scope of work.
  • Build out a project plan to execute tasks from all workstreams, identify any outlying issues and escalate immediately.
  • Meet weekly with internal and external stakeholders to track performance of all related workstream tasks to track progress, solve issues.
  • Build out weekly status reports and send them to key stakeholders, communicating necessary changes or improvements made to scope of work.
  • Be the main point of contact for product escalations, or escalations regarding that specific vendor in the Order Now Program.
  • Work back with the Operations Manager and Operations Team to continue to build out and improve processes and documentation.
  • Become an expert in Geotab operations; including inventory management, fulfillment, RMA processing and third party billing.

What You’ll Bring To This Role

  • 3-5 years experience in project management. PMP required.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Diploma/Degree specialization in Business or a related field highly valued.

Primary duties include independently leading multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for treatment plant upgrades including nutrient removal, biosolids digestion and handling, sidestream treatment and disinfection. The candidate will also support marketing efforts, is expected to be a client manager for multiple clients and be an integral component in the expansion of our wastewater treatment portfolio in the area.

Other specific responsibilities include working directly with clients, wastewater process design, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection, reviewing engineering specifications, and permitting and regulatory compliance. The project manager will be responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget.

The selected candidate will have excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills, as they will work directly with the owner. The ability to establish client relations is important because they will be involved in client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in engineering required; MS in engineering preferred.
  • PE Required.

Purpose Statement:

The Program Manager is accountable for the success of IDT wide initiatives that involve multiple strategic projects. Strategically, they oversee the planning, execution and implementation of the projects within the program. As a people leader, the Program Manager directs the work of project managers leading projects within the program. They identify and resolve cross-project dependencies and facilitate communication between cross-functional teams. Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with business owners to plan and develop the program scope and governance structure. Align projects with the program objectives and define program success metrics and measurement criteria. Holds self accountable for overall program success and consistently seeks opportunities to exceed program goals. Delivery of a quality business outcome is key.
  • Define and develop program artifacts and processes that best fit the needs of IDT and leverage industry best practices. Create and maintain the appropriate program artifacts (examples: program charter, program level master schedule, communication plan, resource plan, risks log, etc.)
  • Connect program and project communication and reporting with strategic business initiatives. Develop communication plans and interfaces to proactively engage stakeholders (internal and external) and IDT leadership. Ensure communication with PMO leadership and IDT leadership is proactive, professional and concise.
  • Manage all aspects of the program and work with project managers to oversee all phases of project completion. Manage scope to ensure project commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost and quality. Manage program spend and validate financial forecasts. Manage cross project dependencies with project managers that are part of the program. Ensure change management both organizationally and within the program.
  • Manage program risks. Collect, analyze, evaluate and mitigate program risks and projects risks relevant at the program level.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration and performance to efficiently deliver the strategic program objectives. Ensure deliverables for each project are complementary to other projects and that timelines align for work to be done efficiently.
  • As a people leader, motivate, direct, coach, mentor and evaluate performance of project managers leading projects within the program. In addition, provide oversight for any external resources contracted at the program level.
  • Build effective relationships and quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders, IDT Leadership and program resources

This position will be appointed through the Health Care Project Management Office (PMO) within the department of Health Care Information Systems (HCIS). The overarching goal of the PMO is to provide Project Management support for the University of Iowa Health Care community, through the application of the Project Management Institute global standard methodology, for delivering projects within budget, on schedule, according to scope, and in a way that best contributes to accomplishing the University of Iowa Health Care strategic plan.

This senior project manager will be dedicated to supporting, leading, and overseeing the Finance Department’s initiatives and projects across the enterprise.

The responsibility for this position will be to practice and perform superior project management skills to ensure that the Finance Department’s project goals and objectives are met within the established requirements. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing project status reports, tracking resource management, conducting/facilitating project meetings, ensuring the project progress on schedule, addressing constraints, and mitigating risks and challenges in a proactive and timely manner.

Advanced project management leadership skills associated with this position will require the ability to work with a range of stakeholders including the finance leadership, staff-level employees, department-level leadership, hospital administration, medical & clinical staff, division leadership and technical users. It will be the responsibility of the project manager to analyze project requirements, develop implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight throughout the initiative/project management life cycle, serving as a change agent for the organization and working effectively in a diverse environment in conjunction with the project leaders and executive sponsors.

  • Support senior leadership in executing on the UI Health Care values and financial goals.
  • Partner with the Finance Department and other internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement finance initiatives and projects.
  • Drive leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability for finance initiatives and project outcomes across the organization through defined deliverables and measurable performance metrics.
  • Gather and report on progress against action plans and expected benefits realization.

Position Qualifications:

Experience Requirements

  • Project Management experience, typically 3-5 years implementing and managing multiple medium to large-scale programs/projects

  • Ability to lead process improvement activities to make enhancement recommendations and implement workflow and business process changes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members.
  • Demonstrated strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills.
  • Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change utilizing a positive, can-do attitude to inspire others.
  • Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with the concept of the PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) and applying project management principles, methodology & processes, tools & techniques to managing projects.
  • Ability to simultaneously lead multiple small to large-scale projects.

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management experience within a health care delivery setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage as individual contributor in successful project management and implementation.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with educational and certification credentials combined with Project Management experience in a health industry.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Certificate in Project Management, Public Heath Certification, or Informatics Certificate, Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), ITILv3, Lean, Agile and/or Six Sigma certification.
