XPRIZE is seeking an experienced, non-technical Project Manager who brings extensive professional project management experience driving large, complex projects across an ecosystem of diverse entities, as part of coordinating the activities (challenges and events) associated with the Racial Equity Alliance. The Project Manager will create the project plan, manage the budget, coordinate Alliance members and committees in executing the day-to-day activities associated with Alliance events, projects and communications. In order to achieve this, the Project Manager is expected to work and plan across different XPRIZE departments who contribute to Alliance deliverables, including marketing, IT, partnership, sponsorships and events. The role is also expected to be an external face of the Racial Equity Alliance as it relates to engaging Alliance partners / members at various events and workshops.


Your day-to-day experiences as REA Project Manager encompass many high-level tasks related to the REA project, supervising and guiding work for other REA staffers as well as coordinating those activities with Alliance partners and committees (outside of XPRIZE).

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Development and management of Alliance project plans
  • Host and run regular Alliance planning and status meetings with core team and steering committee
  • Work with events specialist to plan and execute alliance events (including JAMs, workshops, working groups)
  • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Coordinate Alliance deliverables across various XPRIZE organizations
  • Alliance public launch planning and execution
  • Coordinate with and enlist engagement from key Alliance members and brain trusts who contribute to Alliance projects
  • Help support brand and ensure the overall mission of the Alliance is carried out in a successful fashion
  • Support Alliance Director with budget management as needed.
  • Work with marketing specialists to ensure that Alliance communications are delivered as expected and with quality
  • Identify and execute on means of driving continued and increased engagement from Alliance members, expansion to new members, and means of driving idea and solution development.
  • Support XPRIZE core prizes/challenges/initiatives with the assets and capabilities of the Alliance, where needed.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 7-10 years of relevant professional management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
  • Record of delivering high-quality, and innovative technology-based projects.
  • Skilled in interacting with professionals at all levels of authority within major corporations, government agencies, and research institutions.
  • Strong business writing and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive and think creatively and calmly in highly fluid situations and under intense schedules and deadlines.
  • Highly diplomatic, with proven crisis management experience.
  • Experience working with high-profile partners and individuals outside of XPRIZE as well as Ecosystem development and management
  • Preferably have direct experience and knowledge in the topic of Racial Equity
