Description du poste

Who are we?

We are The Motley Fool, a purpose-driven financial information and services firm with nearly 30 years of experience focused on making the world smarter, happier, and richer. But what does that even mean?! It means we’re helping Fools (always with a capital “F”) demystify the world of finance, beat the stock market, and achieve personal wealth and happiness through our products and services.

What does this team do?

The Technical Project Management team at The Motley Fool is a small, yet growing team of experienced Project Managers and Scrum Masters. We focus on helping our technical teams develop, iterate, and collaborate as smoothly as possible, with an eye towards the highest priority work.

What would you do in this role?

We are a fast-growing and fast-changing company. We stand up high-value projects and they need to get to the finish line. With exciting new business goals this fiscal year, the tech org will need this infrastructure focused project manager specifically to make sure we have the systems in place to support these huge efforts.

Your role is to work with current internal infrastructure Fools on various different teams as well as vendors/external resources to get these projects done. From the project charter to the close-out meeting, you are providing business context, goals and objectives to your team, while protecting them when needed. You will facilitate frequent feedback to align customer expectations with team deliverables.

You will help your teams celebrate their victories and fail early when needed.

But what does this role actually do?

  • You will be working cross functionally with various systems and infrastructure Fool teams to get our highest priority projects completed.
  • Develop relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure stakeholder goals are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Handle necessary vendor communications and coordination.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for Fools required for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Ability to lead a team without having any official reports.
  • Be an effective Agile leader on your primary project, but able to jump in to assist Agile development teams if needed.

What do you need to apply?

  • Previous experience working on infrastructure projects, preferably with large vendor migrations and implementations.
  • Ability to understand the internal business goals that you are supporting and translate into technical work.
  • Expert cross-team communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships, both internally and with our various vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to think critically, innovate, and align stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner or PMP preferred.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud and IT Security a plus.

If you think you have what it takes to join our merry band of Fools, please send us your ultra-impressive resume and Foolishly written cover letter. We’re ready to be wowed!

The Motley Fool is firmly committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. We are a motley group of overachievers that have built a culture of trust founded on Foolishness, fun, and a commitment to making the world smarter, happier and richer. However you identify or whatever winding road has led you to us, please don't hesitate to apply if the description above leaves you thinking, "Hey! I could do that!"
