The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Program Manager to support Industries and Global Accounts programs. In this role, you will work to increase greater customer value and accelerate the sales pipeline to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of sales motions through day-to-day administration of programs. You’ll need a record of detailed project management of complex, multi-faceted software industry initiatives. You will need to have a keen attention to detail, ability to handle multiple priorities, and highly developed organizational skills. As a Program Manager, you will also need to have a professional demeanor, the ability to promote a team environment, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will act as an integral contact between various organizational areas, including regional and global direct sales, ecosystem sales, sales operations, sales development and training, marketing, and the product business units. You will help ensure collaboration, communication, and visibility of projects and improve processes, setting milestones, and helping teams reach them. You’ll provide diplomatic and timely communication, support teams within an agile work environment, and manage multiple requests or projects at the same time by making plans, but more importantly by setting expectations and resetting them when the plans change. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Vertical Enablement Global Lead in organizing, prioritizing, and managing incoming enablement requests involving team members and senior management
  • Manage spreadsheets and data analysis of sales enablement activities and results
  • Conduct an analysis of the current state of sales productivity in conjunction with Sales Operations and map the sales process with our customer’s buying process to understand and enhance what skills, knowledge, process, and tools are required by our sales team to increase velocity and conversion rates at each stage of the process
  • Support the development of global vertical sales enablement through sharing best practices through the creation and delivery of a detailed sales enablement strategy
  • Conduct an analysis of current skills, knowledge, and processes and work with the sales leadership team to identify strengths and areas for development
  • Develop and manage a sales enablement roadmap by providing a dashboard of information for executive consumption
  • Support the development, implementation, and delivery of effective sales playbooks in close collaboration with regional sales, sales architects, ecosystem sales, sales operations, sales development and training, marketing, and the product business units
  • Create and update playbooks based on seller feedback and shifting market demands
  • Organize and schedule internal and external meetings within budget, including logistics, attendees, materials, and communications to support relevant sales enablement activities
  • Assist in the preparation of slide presentations and spreadsheets and participate in core regional and global meetings

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of product, project, program, or field marketing experience
  • Customer-focused, with an ability to develop impactful content aligned to objectives and key results
  • Outstanding project management skills; highly organized and able to prioritize projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining solid attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration skills; solid communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence a wide spectrum of stakeholders
  • Advanced writing skills to create customer-facing and internal content
  • Persistent and resourceful; dependable with ability to take initiative and deliver projects without direct supervision
  • Experience working in a global organization involving various cross-functional teams
  • Experience creating and implementing successful sales process, methodology, or sales playbook initiatives
  • Excellent presentation skills; record of developing relationships at management and executive levels
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience building effective field sales onboarding and sales training programs
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and support the Red Hat culture
  • Strategic planning and thinking skills; creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to break down complex items in a simplified way
  • Creative thinking and ability to innovate and communicate across multiple forums
