My clients, international Construction Management firm, provides project management, construction management, estimating, quality assurance, inspection, scheduling to construction clients. They have completed over 10,000 projects valued over $500 billion. They are actively working on 50+ DSA projects in Los Angeles County.

Description

  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end
  • Monitors and manages project close-out with respect to project certification with the
  • Division of State Architects (DSA) and project financial close out
  • Reviews substitution submittals from contractors to ensure specification and/or District requirements are complied with
  • Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District
  • Coordinates District delivery of related fixtures, furniture and equipment
  • Manage the budget and estimate costs
  • Prepare reports regarding job status
  • Resolve any problems that may arise
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
  • Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
  • Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites
  • Plan construction operations
  • Ensure all deadlines are met
  • Delegate responsibilities
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects
  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly
  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards

The Successful Applicant

  • 17 years of project/construction management experience
  • 5 years of experience in managing large construction projects (values $25M+)
  • 5 years of experience managing education or public works projects
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
  • Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum)
