Description du poste

Company Description

Dropbox is now a Virtual First company, which means work outside of an office will be the primary experience for all employees. Being Virtual First also means the location of our employees is targeted but flexible. If “Location Flexible” is listed in the job title of a role, the role can be located in any of the states where Dropbox is authorized to do business.** Some roles (including those which do not have “Location Flexible” in the job title), however, may have to be co-located with their teams in certain locations. Please work with your recruiter and your hiring manager to understand any location constraints of a particular role and to communicate your location preferences.

**Dropbox is authorized to do business in many, but not all, states. If you are not located in or able to work from a state where Dropbox is registered, you will not be eligible for employment. Please speak with your recruiter to learn more about where Dropbox is registered.

Dropbox is one place to keep life organized and keep work moving. With more than 600 million registered users across 180 countries, we’re on a mission to design a more enlightened way of working. Dropbox is headquartered in San Francisco, CA, and has offices around the world. For more information on our mission and products, visit dropbox.com.

Team Description

Our Engineering team is working to simplify the way people work together. They’re building a family of products that handle over a billion files a day for people around the world. With our broad mission and massive scale, there are countless opportunities to make an impact.

Role Description

The Dropbox Security and Platform Abuse team is responsible for enabling Dropbox to operate and grow securely and is made of two key components: Security Enablement and Platform Abuse.

The mission of Security Enablement is to help Dropbox grow safely by building a secure foundation on which Dropbox can operate to ensure we are worthy of our customers' trust. Enabling Dropbox to operate safely is grounded in improving our operations as well as Dropbox security fundamentals. We benchmark Dropbox security capabilities against our industry peers to set a baseline to measure security maturity. We will deliver a Dropbox Security Strategy to improve core security services and capabilities to enable Dropbox to grow on a secure foundation.

The mission of Platform Abuse is to proactively prevent and dissuade external actors from using Dropbox to cause harm. On Platform Abuse, we build engineering solutions that detect abusive behavior and enforce granular restrictions for each kind of abuse - increasing the cost of doing business for these bad actors. Additionally, we build capabilities that reduce the need for human involvement so we optimize their output while balancing their well-being. This is a systematic and iterative process: we will use data to decide what to build, learn from it, and adjust, and we will not stop until Dropbox is no longer a viable solution for abusers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional, multi-year effort to complete deployment of a robust Zero Trust model.
  • Manage projects and programs for the Platform Security team focused on hardening Dropbox’s IAM infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external consultants on the delivery of their services.
  • Manage infrastructure projects/processes across multiple, cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to setting strategies for multiple teams.
  • Manage project portfolio and prioritization for multiple teams.
  • Actively improve existing processes across multiple teams.
  • Identify and manage risks across multiple teams.
  • Identify gaps in process and found projects to streamline processes, tools, people and documentation.
  • Present and communicate to senior management on program/project status and updates.
  • Mentor and set direction for multiple, cross-functional teams.
  • Support and advise teams in other areas of the organization on best practice.
  • Define, publish and communicate team OKRs and project roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 10 years of project or program management.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Comfortable interfacing with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A helpful, positive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration.
  • Master of organization.
  • Cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Management experience a plus.
  • BS or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification (PMI) a plus.

Dropbox is an equal opportunity employer. We are a welcoming place for everyone, and we do our best to make sure all people feel supported and connected at work. A big part of that effort is our support for members and allies of internal groups like Asians at Dropbox, BlackDropboxers, Latinx, Pridebox (LGBTQ), Vets at Dropbox, Women at Dropbox, ATX Diversity (based in Austin, Texas) and the Dropbox Empowerment Network (based in Dublin, Ireland).
