Diverse Staffing is currently seeking an Emergency Management Program Coordinator for a Government position on our Diverse Staffing team. The Emergency Management Program Coordinator hired by us, will work at Delaware Army National Guard (DEARNG) at 1 Vavala Way New Castle, Delaware. Performance shall be at DEARNG armories throughout the state, depending on need of the Government.The pay rate is between $24.60/hr. and up to $36.41/hr., and is based on experience and skill set. Please indicate your wage requirement when applying. Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays and Office closures. This position will require an extensive federal background check and credit check that could take up to 8 weeks.

The Diverse Staffing Emergency Management Program Coordinator at this client location performs the following responsibilities:

  • The intent of the Army emergency management program is not to replace existing, well-functioning single-agency and/or single-hazard-set programs, plans, or capabilities, but rather to integrate and synchronize these existing capabilities while coordinating the development of capabilities required for the transition to effective management of multi-agency and/or multi-jurisdictional emergencies regardless of cause.
  • Responsible for all activities and operations related to preparing for, mitigating the potential effects of, preventing, responding to, and recovering from all multi-agency and/or multijurisdictional emergencies on or impacting Delaware Army National Guard installations.
  • Functions within an all hazards environment consisting of all natural, technological (man-made), and terrorism hazards.
  • Coordinate Emergency Management program development and implementation
  • Coordinate with Federal, State, Local, Tribal, Other Services, Private resources, critical infrastructure owners and the local emergency planning committee
  • Coordinate and integrate continuity plans into Emergency Management
  • Integrate Emergency Management operations with Evacuation
  • Maintain knowledge of and proficiency with the array of local, state, and national external fire, police, and other emergency services resources available to service members.
  • Attend weekly meetings.
  • Travel as needed for events and presentations - Performance shall be at DEARNG armories throughout the state, depending on need of the Government.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
  • Follow all HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards in all activities.
  • Manage and prioritize key tasks (e.g., building emergency exercise planning and execution) in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
