Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management is seeking a Supplier Program Manager (SPM) (Level 3) to support our Commercial Modifications and Boeing Converted Freighter Businesses. The SPM would be responsible to lead and oversee sourcing strategies and performance reviews of interiors, avionics, connectivity, structural, systems and Modification, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) suppliers. The SPM is expected to effectively lead, manage and contribute to multiple supplier programs concurrently throughout the project/program lifecycle, from supplier evaluation to product delivery, and team with stakeholders from various disciplines and functions – both technical and non-technical and own reporting to Leadership. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated competency and experience in production/manufacturing environments as well as supplier/customer support in our Long Beach, CA or Seattle, WA (Telecommute) location.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and business support to meet supplier performance targets
  • Develops stakeholder relationships and evaluates performance throughout all contract phases
  • Conducts supplier assessments
  • Reviews current and projected work statement to support procurement strategies and contractual compliance
  • Evaluates elements of recovery, corrective and preventative action plans
  • Provides data to support the communication of supplier performance plans, risks, issues and opportunities

Export Control: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

  • 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills And Experience)

  • 5 + years’ experience in a technical position supporting Boeing Commercial programs, suppliers or customers
  • Proficiency in navigating Boeing Engineering systems and translating technical requirements into actionable tasks
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management)
  • Experience assessing Statement of Work quality and completeness, Supplier evaluations and Supplier source selection
  • Experience providing technical support to and oversight of suppliers including participating in or leading Program Management Review (PMRs) or Production Readiness Assessments (PRAs)
  • MBA or MS in Systems Engineering

Typical Education/Experience

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation: This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Long Beach, CA or Seattle, WA)
