There will be many projects that you support, and when appropriate, opportunities to own internal initiatives that serve as a safe proving-grounds for honing your quickly developing skill set. How You Add Value

  • Manage multiple projects across one or more clients in partnership with an operations partner or business partner 
  • Proactively manage up to mentors and managers within your department so they can better support any challenges or roadblocks you may encounter to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunity
  • Prepare content and documentation for internal and client meetings, with peer/mentor/manager review/oversight

The Baseline Essentials

  • Support rotational department deliverables, including Weather Report and agency-wide timesheet validation
  • Create and maintain accurate project forecasts for resource usage and costs incurred
  • Create/own project estimates and timelines for a variety of project types
  • Support operational logistics across the Client Operations team, including opening projects, updating budgets, pulling reports, and more
  • Define project scopes for approval by Sr. Director, Client Operations or VP, Operations  
  • Contribute to client status reports, specifically in regards to budget usage and progress of scoped deliverables and services
  • Escalate challenges, roadblocks and risks to client/project budget goals as they arise
  • Submit your individual time usage on a weekly basis

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years experience managing technical or creative projects in an ad agency, marketing department, or software development setting
  • Experience using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Keynote/Google Slides, Zoom, slack desired
  • Experience or familiarity with HTML, web content management platforms, and new technologies desired
  • Extraordinary, proven teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and listening skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to effectively manage virtually and in-person

Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson is seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) who will be responsible for accurate content inclusion in integrated campaign executions. In this role, you will ensure that all content (i.e., text, graphics, photos) are in the proper file format before placement, and perform quality assurance and validation reviews as directed. This role is responsible for campaign management from beginning to end, and will work closely with account, project management, and creative teams in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Program Manager.

  • Client | Partner with Account Leadership and the Program Manager to oversee integrated campaign work, including validation of content, routing proofs to internal and external stakeholders, delivering final files, and ensuring the process runs on schedule.
  • Team | Manage assigned resources to ensure timely execution of campaign deliverables, and participate in team projects with various business partners to support business priorities and/or special initiatives.
  • Process | Perform campaign activities, including providing support to assigned resources, communicating roadblocks to Account Leadership and the Program Manager, and efficiently completing all projects assigned in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage digital projects leveraging traditional project management (waterfall) methodologies, agile methodologies, or using a hybrid model as required by the project, ensuring success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan that includes all aspects of project phases (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project close)
  • Monitor project progress continuously and report on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables to relevant stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Account Director to understand and assess the needs of the client
  • A critical review of technical documentation (Solution Overview, Functional Specification Documentation) produced by the Digital Engineering team using a business lens in order to ensure the digital/technical solution being developed will successfully meet the client’s criteria
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client business, marketing programs, brands, competitors, and sector in order to function as a strong business partner on behalf of Bond
  • Communicate proactively with all involved internal team members to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions and implement efficiency improvements as required
  • Responsible for organizing and running regular cross-functional status meetings for the project
  • Manages the timely flow of information and documentation of all client-related activity within the project team and to/from the client
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the primary client stakeholders throughout the duration of the project
  • Monitor and report any and all project risks as they arise
  • Leverage internal software (Easy Projects, COMPASS, NETSUITE by Oracle) to manage project financials and successfully deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Responsible for maintaining billing schedule and working with Bond Financial team to ensure the client receives invoices on time
  • Supports accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting for account sales/growth activity as required

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a project management/project lead role at a digital agency, creative agency, studio, or other company where digital development is a core technology competency on projects with budgets of $750k +
  • Formally certification in Project Management methodologies (PMP, PMI-ACP, SCRUM, etc.)
  • Past leadership experience and strong teamwork abilities
  • Experience using traditional and agile project management tools and methods: Gantt charts, resource schedules, JIRA Scrum/Kanban, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Description

Voltage is looking for a Project Manager who’s “been around the block” at least a time or two and who knows the ins and outs of true project management. This role is vital within the agency to create a seamless experience for both internal and external clients, reporting to and coordinating with the Account Management team. Aside from strong project management, he/she/they will also organize creative requests, feedback, and other information across campaigns.

This individual will provide administrative support by estimating hours for projects, building project schedules, coordinating teams to ensure timely project kickoffs and delivery, and ensuring that all stakeholders receive, review, and approve project deliverables.

In short, this person will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and trafficking projects from initiation to completion.

We’re looking for a PM who’s team-oriented and skilled in coordinating, scheduling, taking and distributing notes, following up, and following through. Timeliness and attention to detail are also key.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Manage the end-to-end project life cycle process from briefing, creative development to delivery
  • Manage constantly changing project priorities, timelines, and deliverables, proactively communicating updates across teams
  • Partner with account management, creative teams and finance on scoping and budget needs

  • Serve as the main lead client point-of-contact on certain projects but will primarily partner with Account Management

  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction has been met and help evaluate project performance with the support of Account Management

Your Experience Will Include

  • 6+ years of experience in a project management role, working closely with creatives (i.e. art directors, production designers, copywriters, developers) and clients
  • Project timeline development and management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

What does a Senior Project Manager do?

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) Manager is the subject matter expert, driving and owning the development of the tactical plan required to execute a defined scope of work and deliverables. This role is a pivotal role in the organization for delivery processes and standards. The Senior PM is primarily accountable for the project schedule, adherence to scope through team stand-up meetings and financial reporting, status reporting and ongoing regular communication with the Internal delivery team at large.

  • Leading project teams and facilitating adoption of Intouch PMO best practices and processes
  • Developing project plans utilizing MS Project
  • Authoring and communicating project charter
  • Leading project kickoffs and status meetings
  • Leading project review meetings
  • Conducting project burn analysis
  • Informing team of portfolio forecast plan
  • Performing project change impact analysis
  • Delivery and management of technical and strategic projects
  • Responsibility for successfully leading on-time and on-budget projects

  • Coordinating the estimation process and providing project budget and staff plan parameters
