We are currently seeking a Supplier Diversity Program Manager to help McKinstry develop, deploy, and maintain a best-in-class supplier and subcontractor diversity program that aligns with McKinstry’s aspirational desire to increase spend to historically underserved and underrepresented businesses. This position can sit anywhere in the US, with a strong preference in the Western states in which McKinstry operates.

In this role, you will provide overall operational leadership and set an enterprise strategy for supplier diversity initiatives company wide. This includes having primary responsibility for developing an enterprise program with corresponding tools, resources, training, and guidance to enhance inclusion and enablement of subcontractors and suppliers that are certified Minority, Woman, LGBT, Veteran, Service Disabled Veteran, Person with Disability Owned and other Small Business Enterprises (MWDBE).

You will also provide operational guidance and leadership to the procurement team, project managers, and other business stakeholders to evaluate industry best practices and market dynamics to proactively identify opportunities that incorporate diverse suppliers and subcontractors on projects. As program manager, you will also lead outreach to diverse contractors in primary geographies, work to identify and mitigate structural barriers that limit inclusion of diverse supplier and subcontractors on projects and develop an approach to mentorship/protegee partnerships.

What We’d Like To See From You

  • 7+ years of relevant leadership experience including managing and leading people and designing and leading projects and programs
  • 4+ years professional experience in disadvantaged business contracting and program management; knowledge of MWDBE procurement best practices and principles
  • Industry experience in construction, engineering, energy performance contracting, or high-performance design-build
  • Understanding of systemic inequities and passion for advancing equity, inclusion, and social justice
  • Research and analytical skills, including experience in conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Ability to function well in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations
  • Excellent sense of self-direction and self-motivation
  • Ability to collaborate and navigate across a national, non-hierarchical organization
  • Skill with off-the-shelf analytical tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerBI, Teams, Sharepoint, PowerPoint)

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible to manage, coordinate, administer and deliver the area of the project within the scope, cost and schedule baseline and ensuring the area of the project is delivered within the safety, quality and environmental objectives agreed for the project.

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

  • Carry clear responsibility and accountability for delivery of the objectives for a project taking into consideration the full project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project controls
  • Coordinates, monitors and controls the project in line with the detailed scope, cost and schedule control baselines and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed baseline
  • Exercises budgetary control to ensure costs are not exceeded without proper authority. Provide such information as is required to obtain additional authorization where necessary
  • Ensures governance on the project, specifically compliance to project delegations of authority, procedures and policies
  • Coordinates and monitors team members in their performance and influences their activities as necessary to ensure project requirements are achieved
  • Ensures measurement of progress on all contracts for reporting and progress claim purposes
  • Ensures forecast of cost and schedule is updated in the project EAC and project forecast end date on a monthly basis
  • Communicates regularly with all staff to ensure that goals and priorities are clearly understood and to promote a healthy working environment
  • Communicates with clients

You Bring To The Role

  • Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited University
  • 10 years relevant experience including involvement in at least one significant EPC / EPCM project and proven track record in railway engineering, procurement, construction and project controls
  • Eng. registration in the province of Ontario
  • PMP registration an asset
  • Experience in rail superstructure design and including, civil engineering analyses and review including: evaluating vertical and horizontal grade and track alignments; quantity and construction cost estimates; engineering design reports; technical specifications; material and equipment selection; cost estimates; construction contract documentation; compilation of design/construction drawings; etc.
  • Experience in rail superstructure construction, including contract management and administration
  • Experience in rail operations and rail maintenance beneficial
  • Resourcefulness under pressure
  • Coordination, organization and planning of community IR awareness
  • Commercially astute (financial and legal)

Position Summary

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Be able to handle complex design projects.
  • Develop project Work Plans (schedule, budget, cartoon set) for project success.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Serve as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.

Required Qualifications

  • Five to Seven years of experience with Project Management focused on Industrial, Manufacturing, and Fulfillment projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project for project scheduling, and Excel for budgeting and fee proposals.
  • Must be willing to travel as projects or tasks require.
  • Must have a collaborative management style and strong people skills.
  • Must have good communication and public speaking skills to participate in interviews and client presentations.
  • Knowledge and use of Revit or other design software required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited program.
  • At least five years project management experience.
  • Certification/License preferred.

Of Major Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager establishes and leads cross-functional strategic initiatives, and works with the business to follow best practices to ensure their projects meet business objectives and are accomplished on time and within budget.   • Act as a project management subject matter expert to directly or indirectly lead cross-functional teams to execute on complex projects; including, but not limited to, effective creation and management of timelines, budgets, resources, risks, interdependencies, and project objectives.
  • Understand implications and interdependencies of work and make recommendations for solutions.
  • Communicate and act on opportunities to establish new methods and procedures for projects.
  • Follow established project management practices; including, but not limited to, management of scope, requirements, issues, and risks.
  • Consult with project sponsors and stakeholders at all levels to determine goals, time frame, funding, allotment of resources, and procedures for accomplishing projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive, broad-based project experience.
  • 3+ years of working in a client-facing project management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications; including, but not limited to, Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as life sciences or biotechnology.

In this role, you will focus on cost, quality and timing and ensure the team drives and completes the phase-gate review process for each phase of the project.

Good problem-solving skills with first-hand knowledge of PM Tools is an absolute must as you:

  • Create/follow timelines to ensure project meets program milestones
  • Collaborate closely with Vehicle Program Management, across departments (marketing, engineering, sales, supply chain, finance, etc.) and with suppliers
  • Assist in the development and deployment of the Program Management process
  • Support development and implementation of process disciplines
  • Drive “Plan for every part” from each team
  • Take personal responsibility for the team’s success by holding the team accountable, ensuring proper meeting cadence and elevating effectively when needed
  • Train and coach the team to ensure compliance and track all deliverables using an open issues list
  • Use risk management approach to anticipate and prevent problems from occurring, elevate risks to management when/if they occur
  • Follow tooling sources to track progress and alleviate any issues that may affect timing
  • Coordinate or conduct Project Gate Reviews
  • Provide regular project status reports to senior management

Success in this role requires someone with expert experience with APQP (PPAP, FMEA, etc.), Gantt charts, open item and responsibility tracking and a minimum of five years’ experience in the automotive/trucking or similar industry with experience in at least one cross functional area (Quality, Engineering, Operations, or Program Management).

Your Impact

  • Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment.

  • 3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.

The Director of Technical Program Management, Intelligent Feedback will build and drive the operational backbone of our Intelligent Feedback initiatives. The Intelligent Feedback team is passionate about empowering customers to influence the Salesforce product roadmap by revamping the IdeaExchange and Known Issues in order to create best-in-class feedback management experience. These products and their supporting programs will fuel innovation, foster collaboration between the Trailblazer Community and Salesforce teams, and communicate roadmap features and bugs to customers.

The TPM will also help with the Known Issues program, driving decisions with the team on re-platforming and establishing scorecards and modes of engagement with product and engineering teams. This role will be responsible for coordinating with other teams such as Business Technology, Data Intelligence, and User Insights to ensure systems and processes help synthesize feedback signals to support Intelligent Feedback at scale. This is an individual contributor role and does not include people management responsibilities.

Director, Technical Program Management, Essentials

The Director of Technical Program Management for Essentials will be responsible for leading strategic cross-functional and operational programs supporting the Essentials business. This person will partner with Essentials leadership to drive the strategy of these programs and deliver on the product roadmaps that align to the Salesforce Simple and Slack CRM methods. The work will include an Essentials product roadmap that positions it as the logo engine for Salesforce and the jumping point for higher editions. Pending the Slack acquisition, this person will also ensure successful delivery of a new Slack CRM that delivers an easy to use experience. These initiatives will require close coordination with other teams including Sales Cloud to ensure alignment on tasks.

Strong candidates for this role will have experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and be well versed in go-to-market motions, product development, cross-cloud collaboration, as well as planning, organizing, and collaborating with teams to execute on product vision and operational excellence. 7-12 years of program management or implementation consulting is desired. Director, Technical Program Management, Emerging Products

The Director of Technical Program Management of Emerging Products will work in concert with the Emerging Products Go to Market group and Cloud TPMs to build the operational backbone of our new product launch engine and drive scale in launching innovation at Salesforce. The TPM will stay abreast of upcoming product launches across the Clouds and will create the strategy for scaling and enablement of the Emerging Products methodology while also driving improvements back into the process. They will translate and map the New Product Introduction playbook to the rhythms and processes of the Cloud product development process and act as a liaison and subject matter expert to the product Cloud TPM teams. In doing so, the TPM will ensure each Cloud team develops an Emerging Products launch competency, such that we run a consistent and effective new product introduction process across the organization, learning from each product launch. The TPM will also, as needed, run the Emerging Product process for the highest priority/complexity tier 1 product introductions, guiding and tracking progress. What You’ll Do

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • This position is responsible for utilizing standard project management tools and methodologies to manage select large concurrent projects within TJX Canada to support the successful achievement of the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans for large concurrent projects with all functional business areas, including setting milestones, identifying required resources, establishing interdependencies & cross functional timelines, to ensure project objectives are delivered on-time, within budget while maintaining minimal disruption to the business.
  • Accountable for identifying project roadblocks and issues and partnering with Business Leaders and subject matter experts to develop solutions and mitigate risks, escalating to Business Lead and Executive Steering Committee when required to ensure project goals are met.
  • Partners with the business project leads and teams to influence and guides multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities and ensures integration of all dependent projects.
  • Responsible for timely and effective project communications including organizing and leading regular cross functional progress meetings with Project Leaders and other relevant stakeholders from across all functions, as well as preparing and presenting regular progress updates to Executive Steering Committees and other groups as determined in the governance model.

What You’ll Need

To begin your career with us, you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management, with a focus on larger cross-functional projects; demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality product under tight timelines.
  • Formal Project Management accreditation – PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ Years’ experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience
  • 1+ Years’ experience in Microsoft data center processes and tooling or related experience

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical College degree or certification in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment

The Position: The PM should have proven experience managing all aspects of technology projects from conception to production and support: scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, customer expectations and satisfaction, team management (cross functional, cross organizational), and partner management. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires a technically knowledgeable project manager who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in an evolving and changing environment with the ability to set the expectations with the client.

The Sr. Project Manager, PMO will report to Director, PMO. 

Responsibilities:

  • The PM applies solid project management and leadership skills and experience in delivering projects on-time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop WBS and Project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft DevOps to identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Discipline to consistently execute the fundamental mechanics of project management (schedule, risk, change management, and financial management) to deliver your assigned projects.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within your assigned projects.
  • Identify and track project RAID log to remove any impediments on delivering your assigned projects.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree (Computer Science, Technical or Business degree preferred) and/or 10+ years of demonstrated project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or ability to gain certification.
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of technology projects from conception to production operations and support: scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, customer expectations and satisfaction, team management (cross functional, cross organizational), and partner management.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall concepts and demonstrated ability to work/manage in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Application Development, Analytics, and Managed Services.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to tackle the difficult conversations in a consulting role, with a client satisfaction mindset.
  • Excellent proven organization, communication, Project Management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Deep project management experience in a consulting organization
  • Broad technology knowledge with the ability to facilitate the architecting of solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end technology projects.
  • Resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
  • Technically competent with various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Projects.

Summary

The Division Administrator serves as senior manager and principal representative of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) at the State level and is responsible for overseeing Federal-aid program delivery and providing direction to FHWA partners and customers at the State and local levels.

Responsibilities

As the Program Manager (Division Administrator) you will:

  • Serve as the principal representative of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) with the State Highway Department and will be responsible for administering the total Federal-aid Highway Program in the State.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to State and local officials in the identification of surface transportation needs and related priorities in carrying out national transportation program goals.
  • Establish Division Office objectives, priorities, and timetables.
  • Commit Federal funds expended while maintaining compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Direct Federal-aid oversight initiatives and stewardship functions relying on annual risk assessments of the State’s Federal-aid program and enforcement of fiscal accountability and current financial management policies and practices.

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced mid to late career Federal Highway Administration employee with Federal-Aid or Federal Lands Highway management and leadership experience.

Required Qualifications

Five to Seven years of experience with Project Management focused on Industrial, Manufacturing, and Fulfillment projects.

Must be willing to travel as projects or tasks require.

Must have a collaborative management style and strong people skills.

Must have good communication and public speaking skills to participate in interviews and client presentations.

Knowledge and use of Revit or other design software required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited program.

Essential Job Functions

Develops project organizational structure based on the overall objective of the project. Organizes and mobilizes project teams which may be comprised of internal and external (contractors/consultants) resources and can involve 50 to 200 team members.Develops and maintains program master plan in conjunction with team leads that outlines tasks, milestones, resources, and schedules. Leads and manages other Program Managers in the overall execution of program portfolios to ensure projects are completed in accordance with the project plan and business strategic and/or tactical objectives.Manages Project Teams to ensure adequate support is provided to the program and timely execution is achieved. This is accomplished by ensuring: - detailed business requirements are gathered for IT integration - detailed technical designs are completed by the IT Teams; - development and programming is completed in accordance with the project plan; - testing plans are completed and successfully executed; - training plans and associated materials are developed for Service Centers, Agents and other personnel as required; - procedures are developed or revised to support implementation of project objectives; - development of necessary communication materials for all departments including Field and Service Operations; - field implementation plans are completed and the assignment of Service and Field Operation personnel to support implementation is accomplished; - legal and regulatory issues associated with the project are considered and addressed; - customer impact is understood and managed; - criteria have been developed that indicates implementation readiness and that measurement of critical success factors occurs after implementation. Manages project budgets totaling several million dollars, to ensure execution is completed within allocated funding and leads the change management and risk management process accordingly. Conducts project communication/status meetings to ensure information flow among all project teams. Communicates with senior executive sponsors regarding all project related matters via project status reports, discussion sessions, and presentations as required.Participates in Program Executive Steering Committee and Leadership sessions. Provides consultation and educates departments throughout the organization on Distribution Program Management’s role, responsibiliti es, and approaches. This position will be responsible for the development and delivery of cleaner energy alternatives and solutions in the transportation sector as it relates to ongoing trends towards electrification and the adoption of hydrogen as a future fuel. The focus will be on several key areas: engineering feasibility, economic evaluation, cleaner energy (electrification, hydrogen, compressed natural gas, renewables), decarbonization, transition to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs), fueling, reduced GHG footprint, energy storage, cleaner manufacturing and energy usage, pipeline repurposing, and resource management for private sector and public sector clients in the United States and Canada. This initiative will move across the automotive sector, fleets at the private and public level, rail and transit, and the aviation industry.

Client

Responsibilities

  • Builds on previous client relationships to provide opportunities and support Business Group development
  • Leverages existing GHD clients in the Transportation market as well as interfacing with energy clients through the Future Energy team, as well as other clients that have clear drivers to decarbonize operations
  • Builds effective relationships with key existing clients, while also expanding the client base
  • Serves as the client manager for key clients and develops/executes associated client engagement plans
  • Actively participates in professional and/or industrial organizations to promote the GHD brand
  • Promotes and collaborates in the development of innovative project delivery methods

People

  • Sit on the North American Future Energy Leadership team to integrate strategy with the broader Future Energy strategy
  • Collaborate with global Future Energy experts in the transportation space, understand and extending approaches and expertise that have generated success in other geographies
  • Collaborates with Global, North American and Regional Market Leaders, Client Resource Managers, Service Line Leaders, and Client Sector Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomes
  • Develops and mentors senior leadership and/or rising talent within the Business Group
  • Works with project directors, managers, and teams to establish and improve Business Group job delivery skills
  • Attracts strategic hires to develop the Business Group

Performance

  • Defines strategy for the nexus between transportation and energy, focusing on the push for decarbonization as it pertains to commercial opportunities and regulatory drivers
  • Pre-positions for projects, develops opportunities, and obtains RFPs
  • Develops responses to RFPs, scope of work packages, budgets, and progress reports
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to conduct assessments ­ of existing transit and other facilities and operating resources, and opportunities for transition and improvement.
  • Drives project teams to provide successful and technically sound project deliveries to meet and exceed client and GHD requirements
  • Adheres to GHD Management Systems for Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Environment
  • Drives positive client interaction, as verified through client surveys

Experience

And Skills

  • Education requirement – Degree in business, engineering or other related profession
  • Required years of experience - Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the transportation sector with strong connections to the decarbonization side of the business, with demonstrated ability to work in energy transition and to drive this mandate
  • Required technical skills - Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience building business and strategy in North American markets
  • Other skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff

    Key Performance Indicators
  • Increase GHD’s market share through new and existing client development by $0.5M of booked work in Year 1 and $1M in Year 2
  • Blend client billable work with business development strategies; utilization goal will be 50% (after first 9 months of employment)
  • Bring 1 to 2 strategic hires/new staff into GHD in Year 1 and in Year 2
  • Timely, cost effective and quality delivery of Services by Business Group, as measured through client (internal and external) feedback
  • Provide accurate forecasting of Backlog and Opportunities.
  • Manage project financials in terms of established performance goals and zero project variance
  • Manage DSO/AR to targets

Leads programs consisting of multiple, small projects. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, passionate about delivering new or upgraded existing products or services. Handles programs from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of program performance. Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and implementation of a company's products and services to success
  • Acts as project manager - monitoring the program from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and overseeing budget/spending. Gathers input from the project team and acts independently to develop a Project Plan for projects of moderate to significant scope which may include novel products or services. Uses established tools, approaches/methodologies and templates to guide and document the plan and communicate it to the team. Gathers feedback from the team to revise and complete the Project Plan as needed
  • May lead multiple limited to moderate scope projects simultaneously, or run part of a larger program directly or through oversight of less senior program managers
  • Nominates and solicits participation of team members from key partner teams including Offer /Product Management, Engineering, Service/support and other functional groups, set timelines and budgets independently. Leads aspects of the work of the project team (indirectly supervises) involving members from a wide range of disciplines including engineering, marketing, and operations
  • Coordinates cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the program i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints. Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation and documentation of progress
  • Gathers status updates from the project team and interprets inputs from the team to assemble a consolidated view of status. Provides regular status updates to senior management as advised. Status reports are encouraged to be concise summaries, tailored to the audience. Owns ensuring alignment from key leaders of milestone achievement before moving the program forward
  • Demonstrates the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions and project plans and execution. Balances scope, schedule and budget considerations to adjust the project with minimal impact to the business. Understands the business objectives of the program and assumes personal accountability for success of the program against those objectives
  • Provides assistance with coordination of deliverables and project assets to assist the project team. Personally anticipates and addresses obstacles or issues that are moderate to significant in severity and raises complex issues to management for assistance. Independently engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles or delays. Adjusts the plan per management guidelines as delays or obstacles are experienced
  • Demonstrates intermediate knowledge/application of basic Program Management techniques and approaches including familiarity with vocabulary. Demonstrates knowledge and use of PMI PMBOK language and concepts. Effectively uses project management tools in scheduling and staffing plans, with an understanding of task durations and dependencies. Develops exhaustive risk management plans
  • Demonstrates intermediate understanding of development processes and product launch scope and activities
  • Very limited supervision by management is expected in this position for sophisticated or novel problems
  • May coach or act as escalation point for level 1 or level 2 Program Managers
  • Supports early stage go to market activities and transition to marketing

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree- ideally Engineering or Computer Science degree, or related technical BS degree
  • 5+ years PMO experience in product development, with specific responsibilities called out (risk management, managing schedule & budget, etc.)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and concepts with program management approaches, tools and methodologies shown through career progression.
  • Intermediate to advanced presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to mid to senior level cross functional audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office/MS Project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Safe or scrum master certification preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Work experience involving cloud service offerings, mobile computing, and/or android development
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills. Formal training preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in delegation and follow up
  • Demonstrated working knowledge/experience of technical business unit assigned to (Hardware, Software, Services, etc.)
