We are looking for a smart, motivated, and scrappy individual to drive successful product launches across the Salesforce portfolio. This individual will be responsible for leading product launch teams; partnering with product management and cross-functional teams navigate complex dependencies and timelines, assisting with the prioritization of projects and deliverables to align with overall business strategy, and project managing launch teams during the planning and execution phases of the process. This role will also be responsible for reporting out on the status of all projects regularly to key stakeholders & senior leaders.

The ideal candidate is someone with broad project management experience in a software or SaaS company, including product launch, project management & process management experience, excellent attention to detail, and executive-level presentation skills. You must be able to build trusted relationships across the product organization and partner with leaders across sales, marketing, operations, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Guide product and marketing leaders through the new product introduction process
  • Leverage best practices and key learnings from previous launches
  • Balance time across multiple business lines and multiple launches concurrently
  • Develop and execute project plans involving cross-functional stakeholders to ensure products achieve growth. Key stakeholders include product, sales, marketing, and operations
  • Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of sales, marketing, and product leadership
  • Provide input and consistently evolve and improve the new product introduction process
  • Standardize product launch approach at Salesforce across launches
  • Drive clear decision making to balance risk, effort, escalations and timelines

Required Skills/Experience

  • BS/BA required; MBA a plus, but not required
  • 7+ years of work experience in program management and/or launching products
  • Prior experience in the software industry preferred
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication
  • Strong project coordination skills and desire to improve processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, and a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

Your Impact

  • Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6-10 years (Senior TPM)/10-15+ years (Director)/12+ years (Senior Director) of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
  • 6+ years of solution management experience for software or SaaS experience.
  • 3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Experience with Portfolio Management.
  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.

Director of Technical Program Management for Intelligent Feedback

The Director of Technical Program Management, Intelligent Feedback will build and drive the operational backbone of our Intelligent Feedback initiatives. The Intelligent Feedback team is passionate about empowering customers to influence the Salesforce product roadmap by revamping the IdeaExchange and Known Issues in order to create best-in-class feedback management experience. These products and their supporting programs will fuel innovation, foster collaboration between the Trailblazer Community and Salesforce teams, and communicate roadmap features and bugs to customers.

The TPM will drive the strategy of the program, as well as help plan, organize, and work with product, Cloud TPMs, and other cross-functional teams across the company to execute the vision. This will involve working with product owners across Clouds to run IdeaExchange prioritization cycles and establishing scorecards to encourage and measure product team engagement with the community. Director, Technical Program Management, Essentials

The Director of Technical Program Management for Essentials will be responsible for leading strategic cross-functional and operational programs supporting the Essentials business. This person will partner with Essentials leadership to drive the strategy of these programs and deliver on the product roadmaps that align to the Salesforce Simple and Slack CRM methods. The work will include an Essentials product roadmap that positions it as the logo engine for Salesforce and the jumping point for higher editions. Pending the Slack acquisition, this person will also ensure successful delivery of a new Slack CRM that delivers an easy to use experience. These initiatives will require close coordination with other teams including Sales Cloud to ensure alignment on tasks.

About The Role

The Director of Technical Program Management for HW Architecture and Strategy will drive critical complex projects that span across Infrastructure and Services. This person will be deployed to drive strategic cross-cloud programs and be responsible for partnering with the cross functional and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive planning and execution of these programs. In this role, they will be managing projects across Salesforce that are focused on the infrastructure architecture. Knowledge of Infrastructure Services, Cloud Technology, data center facilities, networks, servers, DB, Storage is required for this role. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of NPI/SKU Certification processes and thrives in an ambiguous environment.

As Salesforce shifts to being Public Cloud First for our Infrastructure offerings, this team has been tasked to define a strategy for all products/services to get there seamlessly. Instead of having each service/product/technology define their own path we have programs that are designed to leverage historic patterns to provide relative SKU, Technology offerings for all services moving from 1P to Public Cloud This role will also be responsible for continuing to sustain 1P offerings.

The first problem this individual will be tackling is developing a framework & roadmap to define, test, validate, measure and rollout Public Cloud SKU Offerings. This space is very Critical as it aligns Salesforce Technology as we shift to leverage Public Cloud. Responsibilities

  • Define, Lead and Execute the HW Architecture & Strategy Programs
  • Develop framework to manage SKU/Artifact Lifecycle, Artifact Configuration, Artifact Delivery for both 1P and 3P Environments partnering with both product team and HW Strategy leadership.
  • Identify priority initiatives required to effectively execute the organization’s strategy.

  • Experience in data analytics in rudimentary systems (extracting data from disparate systems, merging data sets, etc.) not afraid to get hands dirty in Excel / gSheets.
  • Experienced in creating, and communicating in writing and verbally, status of programs to an executive level.
  • Working knowledge in infrastructure architecture at scale.
  • Experience driving projects to successfully integrate cutting edge Architecture.
  • 9-10+ years experience managing large highly complex programs/projects utilizing Agile/Scrum, Kanban and other program management project execution methods.
  • Able to work well in a matrix management, cross-functional, geographically distributed environment.
  • Complete ownership and ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to be flexible with a positive attitude and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

It Would Also Be Great If You Had

  • 6–8 years of experience in the areas of customer service/support or customer communications as well as program/project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or other related area
  • Strong writing capabilities that inspire action
  • Excellent verbal skills
  • Experience working with customers, customer-facing teams, and product organizations, with the ability to lead without direct authority
  • Ability to empathize with the customer’s need for in-depth and prescriptive guidance on how to manage a technical change, and obtain this level of detail from technology owners
  • Ability to learn and deeply understand technical information and concepts, especially as it relates to database architecture, security, and customer relationship management principles
  • Ability to synthesize technical and non-technical details from different teams and determine which information is most relevant for customers
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment

  • Proven track record of excelling in a fast-paced environment with tight turnarounds and changing priorities

We are seeking a Program Manager with the drive, experience, and skill set to lead our complex Professional Services programs (both advisory and implementation) through to value realization for our customers. You will lead programs where you not only help create the strategy but also guide our customers at the executive level to align on overall objectives and outcomes of the engagement as well as the KPIs to measure its success. You will be accountable for leading the execution to achieve the desired value and outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive the program strategy as well as the alignment of outcomes and KPIs to measure the engagement’s success at the executive level
  • Deliver the Program as agreed and manage senior stakeholders to achieve the aligned upon outcomes
  • Manage and align the different work streams within the program to achieve the holistic business outcome(s) for the client
  • Partner with executive decision makers and functional consultants to deliver customer success and help our customers achieve business value
  • Partner with internal account teams (Sales, Success, Executive Sponsors, etc) to make sure we are aligned as One Salesforce and leveraging all necessary parties to ensure our customers’ success
  • Drive engagement and/or strategy, leveraging our multi-cloud platform to enable the customer
  • Partner with customers to build a roadmap tailored to the customer’s business priorities which will accelerate their time to value
  • Proactively make recommendations that provide a direct P&L impact, and enhance or expand the customer’s ability to reach beyond their business goals
  • Coach and partner with customer executives
  • Apply strong Salesforce product, business process, methodology & ecosystem knowledge to drive success
  • Proactively build and expand business relationships which enable us to support, develop, and win business that delivers mutual value

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A passion for Salesforce, our values, and especially the role the Salesforce Services organization plays in our success.
  • 3+ years using/implementing the Salesforce platform
  • A successful track record of leading large ($3MM +) and complex programs with measurable outcomes that have positively impacted the business
  • A strong sense of vision for the customer with a maniacal focus on executing at speed
  • An understanding and belief in the unique characteristics of the Salesforce Services approach to implementation
  • A proven ability to generate trust and build relationships
  • The ability to advise and lead teams through influence without positional authority
  • The ability to quickly build momentum on a program and sustain it
  • A significant understanding of the Salesforce platform in order to influence strategic and value discussions at a management level
  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Ability to rapidly build senior level credibility with the Customer in a true partnership relationship
  • Ability to drive and shape the big picture while having an eye for the details
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members and external parties operating in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to lead client, SIs, and internal teams from strategy to roadmap to execution
  • Ability to lead large and/or enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate meetings, create action plans, mentor teams of junior team members and effectively manage client escalations.
  • Ability to lead high powered workshops and effectively tailor messaging based on the audience and subject matter
  • 5-10 years experience in Program Management role
  • 5-10 years experience in managing external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting and systems development.
  • Demonstrated program leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project teams, budget and schedule.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering successful programs that result in measurable business value
  • Undergraduate degree; relevant technical or business (MBA) post-graduate degree is a plus
  • PMP Certification
  • Salesforce.com Certifications (Admin, Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.) preferred but not necessary

Travel is an integral part of this role, and will be based on individual customer needs. 50%+ travel to be expected post pandemic.
