100% REMOTE PROJECT MANAGER 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to help with a large Financial Modernization initiative where they're transforming 30+ financial systems into one finance data lake and financial data warehouse.

This consultant will be working with development teams consisting of Scrum Masters, Business Analysts. Informatic, Spark, and Hadoop Developers, and QA. Their development teams are currently working to ingest, transform, and present data for business use.

This Project Manager will be working hand in hand with another TEKsystems Project Manager

What are International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)?

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) set common rules so that financial statements can be consistent, transparent and comparable around the world. IFRS are issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). They specify how companies must maintain and report their accounts, defining types of transactions and other events with financial impact. IFRS were established to create a common accounting language, so that businesses and their financial statements can be consistent and reliable from company to company and country to country.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager for one or more projects.
  • Responsible for meeting timelines, budget, quality and resource commitments for project(s).
  • Manage and coordinate project direction from analysis through implementation.
  • Actively manage the assembling of the project team, determining project task assignments, identifying resource requirements, developing and maintaining project schedule, coordinating the project activities and adhering to project deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to team, management and PMO on work performed, plans, budget and overall status.
  • Conduct team meetings, communicate updates to the team and other interested parties.
  • Manage scope of project and elevate significant changes to the appropriate management.
  • May be responsible for instructing, directing and checking the work of other team members. Design and implement project organizational structure that is efficient and cost effective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent training/experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience performing in project management. Experience with MS Office and project development/management tools required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management, FMLI, ACS 100, AIAA 200 certifications preferred. Proven experience interacting with management.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proven experience in the following areas: utilizing interviewing/negotiation skills; coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings; utilizing planning/organization skills and techniques; managing multiple priorities and project staff; and utilizing analysis and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Define and develop the project delivery road map including facilitating business product development, process design, and build, and deployment of the solution.

Develop, implement, and maintain the project plan - including change, issue, risk management logs, escalations, and traceability through resolution.

Change management best practices for tracking inputs, approvals, estimates and tracking of costs.

Building a matrixed communication plan, RACI, SteerCo partnership, and any leadership communication cadence requrements.

Complete the project charter defining scope and approach

Ensure estimates are created for the various phases of delivery across teams, including annual planning models.

Ensuring best practices for continuous estimation validation throughout the project lifecycle

Maintain vendor collaboration and contracts where needed Follow the various methodologies between SDLC, Agile, and the data is in sync across tools with the project delivery expectations

Hold software quality assurance reviews

Manage resource plans, demand and forecast inputs, with a 30/60/90 day accuracy view and for the life of the project (which may run multiple years)

Manage milestones, dependencies, delivery deadlines, ensure implementation plans are complete and communications meeting the goals for the whole teams (cross matrix)

Ensure customer engagement and buy into solution and delivery outcomes

Maintain meeting cadence fit for the team and expected outcomes

Communications include agendas, assigned action items, and notes

Ensure resourcing managers align with the delivery timelines and the milestones meet the planned delivery

Define project iterations and sustain the dependencies across all areas

Measure and monitor progress and clearly define inputs the outputs between handoffs

Ensure all teams have committed to the dates in the plan and the plan has the resourcing to achieve goals

Manage relationships, raise risks and issues to the levels necessary

Manage change and update as appropriate the plan , resources, and communicate the details to impacted teams

Represent the team, ensure accountabilities and expectations are clear (not just standardized roles and responsibilities)

Raise awareness of training needs

In this technically focused role, you will be responsible for design and construction coordination, technical management support, quality management support, subcontract administration, project controls, preconstruction coordination and construction project management. You will be expected to support the bid manager in proposals and be a direct liaison to the client and partners during project/construction execution. Participate in design development reviews, construction planning and scheduling, subcontractor management, and direct management of field staff.

Review/update the construction Management plan, and construction quality plan.

May represent the design build contractor at client meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar discipline.

Minimum of 15+ years of construction and project experience in the transportation infrastructure sector. Must have in depth understanding of design and construction processes for transportation projects. Experience must include project and construction management delivery experience on heavy civil transportation infrastructure projects (Road/Highway, Rail/Transit, or Bridge/Tunnel), as well as oversight of design teams on Design-Build Projects. Strong financial acumen and P&L responsibility at project level is also a must.

Must have a proven track record of successful delivery in design/build project executions and/or GEC for projects valued at $100M in construction cost or higher.

Description

Seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support the Commercial Banking / Wholesale / Wealth Investment Management line of business.

This Sr PM resource will be allocated 50% on two different projects. The first is a content management program. They will the the PM on an effort to move documents and electronic content from old repository to a new one. Migrating from legacy FileNet to new repository Documentum. Prior experience with CMS related projects is required. FileNet or Documentum specifically would be great. Wealth Investment Management and Commercial Banking, their documents are on legacy platforms. This project/program involves the combination of a) the migration of the content and b) secondary the UI and interface that internal WIM/Commercial Banking employees use, ensuring those interfaces are able to be tested and pull up the content. Currently there are 6 PM’s and a Program Manager on this CMS migration effort. This person will be the 7th PM added to the program to manage the effort.

Then the other 50% this SR PM resource will be added to is, they have a project working on distributed leger (leger is a record in which commercial accounts are recorded for commercial banking). This team needs a Kanban lead to help get them in routines and getting them on Kanban board. Candidate must be someone who has exposure to agile and just someone who can lead them through and mark progress and lead progress on their user stories. It's not heavy Agile, manager calls it "Agile light" or "Scrum Master light". There aren't many ceremonies. Candidate just needs Jira and confluence knowledge.

This PM will not manage budgets and financials in clarity.

Chandler or Rose Garden, Arizona is preferred location. Des Moines and Charlotte is fine too.
