Job Overview

As Sr Technical Project Manager-GCP, you will be techno-functional with recent hands on experience in IT Project Management leading a Cloud Migration project. Expected background is a blend of experience in different aspects of IT/Software lifecycles, like developing software, production support, leading an IT team, delivering an IT commitment, etc. Candidate should be from Java/JavaEE background with knowledge and exposure in modern tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with multiple IT delivery teams and be a single point of liaison person between these IT teams and GCP program team.
  • Communicate effectively across these teams and accomplish the activities as per the commitments.
  • Arrive at the plan as needed and work in tandem with GCP program team
  • Provide technical support as needed to the IT team understanding their functionality and challenges faced.
  • Understand the CI/CD tools used across the team and should able to help the team in migrating to the new tool or as to the GCP as appropriate.
  • Should be familiar with Agile methodology and conduct Agile meetings/ceremonies as needed
  • Should work with multi-cultural team across different time zone audiences.
  • Represent Governance meetings and communicate status updates as needed through multiple channels.
  • Manage Risk & Issues proactively

Qualifications

  • Experience in porting applications & microservices from one cloud service provider (CSP) to another. Should be experienced in migrating all control plane and application data to ensure a seamless migration with zero downtime.
  • Expert in GCP cloud infrastructure and service offerings.
  • Experience/Familiarity in Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
  • Familiar with all DevSecOps processes and tools to ensure equivalent setup in available & configured in GCP.
  • Overall, 10 years of progressive IT experience with 2+ years of Project Manager experience, and 5+ years of Business Analyst, Solutions Architect, Tech Lead or Technical Manager experience.
  • Should be coming from Java, Java EE development experience.
  • Well versed with tools like Jira, Rally, Presentation, Excel
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Experience in guiding/coaching teams as needed
  • Graduate in Computer Science or Information Technology or related technical degree or masters. (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc /BCA/MCA/MBA)

The Project Manager role is intended to manage and adapt continuously to project goals. This highly collaborative role will need to work closely with all departments, including account, creative and technology teams, in order to deliver quality solutions to our customers.

They have developed advanced skills in managing projects, resources and client relationships. They have extensive experience in managing one of the 3 Clouds (Dynamics, Modern Workplace or Azure) and familiarity with the other Clouds and able to lead projects in those areas. They have experience with leading development of software and website solutions on the Microsoft platform

Responsibilities

  • Create project timelines, and manage creative, development milestones and deliverables.
  • Foster an environment that adapts quickly to creative change and focuses on Agile development principles.
  • Maintain creative, production, and technical goals set forth by our teams and clients.
  • Manage overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates can be clearly communicated to the product and account leads.
  • Capture and record meeting notes and ensure action items are completed promptly.
  • Ensure solutions to technical problems through discussion with technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Partner with development team members to understand opportunities and limitations of solutions being implemented.
  • Effectively balance the needs of the client, as well as the needs of the internal teams.
  • Manage all deliverables with any required external vendors.
  • Provide production and technical knowledge, in addition to innovation insight, in order to arrive at the best-possible execution decisions.
  • Identify, procure and manage outside vendors that are best suited for assigned projects, when required.
  • As projects require, work as a Scrum Master to plan the backlog and track sprint progress against overall project timelines.
  • Manage resources for each assigned project to ensure that the project remains on schedule.
  • Work closely with the product and account leads to remain in full communication on the status and details of each project, including any cost or timing issues that may arise.
  • Anticipate any potential issues with the project through quick responses and proactive critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate skilled problem-solving capabilities to determine solutions and options to resolve problems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading projects within a technical environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading projects in an Agile development environment
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Must be incredibly detail-oriented.
  • Experience working directly with creative team members and development engineers.
  • Experience working with offshore development teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience working in digital marketing and media.
  • Understanding of project management, and the web and mobile technologies.
  • Technical knowledge of various systems (technology).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in the Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace.
