What This Job Involves

Supporting and managing industry changing projects

As an Associate Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for working with a team to deliver challenging construction projects. Your continuous development of skills and adoption of new technologies is key to the impact you will have in this role. You will interact with clients and vendors to negotiate contracts, manage project related documentation, track vendor RFPs, conduct weekly meetings and develop scope and schedule of assigned projects. Your knowledge of construction and/or architectural industry will speak to your ability to support your team in delivering interesting and industry changing projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned projects by utilizing appropriate resources effectively and balancing the customer requirements with the agreed upon strategies of the company.

  • Responsible for the definition of customer project requirements.

  • Provide ongoing updates to internal team and customers regarding project status and progress.
  • Work to balance competing customer production priorities and negotiate compromises among projects.
  • Ensure all Projects are performed safely and in accordance with the JLL Safety Policies/Procedures.
  • Oversee the document management process to ensure procedures and standards are established, maintained and performed.
  • Capture all customer impacting and non-customer impacting events to become more equipped to be proactive and preventative (Problem/Incident Management (PIM).
  • Ensure compliance by capturing and consolidating training into a single system and produce high level reporting.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators, and Key Factors to be used in the Measurement and Verification Phase.
  • Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
  • Provide proposals for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment.

Client Relations

  • Responsible for ensuring high customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure customer project information such as work orders, job worksheets, and site information is forwarded to other departments such as operations and accounting to ensure quality customer service, timely billing, and financial management of the project.
  • Document, manage and appropriately escalate project and customer issues and concerns.

Communicate

  • Communicate with other JLL Departments to ensure agreements are successfully managed, opportunities are maximized, and customers are satisfied.
  • Evaluate industry standards as new standards emerge for best practices, and closely coordinate these potential opportunities with our clients and share all applicable information abroad.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical information internally and externally to the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required

Education, Knowledge And Abilities

  • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Critical Facilities Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in facility management or related field required.
  • Knowledge of Data Center Operations and System configurations required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in critical electrical industry preferred.

We are currently seeking a Sustainability Project Manager to join our Project and Development Services team in the Central Region of the US (Preferred locations- Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Minneapolis MN, Indianapolis IN)

As a Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for supporting the sustainability project management team to deliver challenging projects. You will manage certifications and deliver advisory services. You will collect and prepare certification documentation, track metrics, maintain schedules and budgets, deliver meeting minutes, and update the client. You are accountable, collaborative, a self-starter, and demonstrate enthusiasm for implementing innovative ideas in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of all activities related to achieving client sustainability goals. Projects typically include certifications (such as LEED, WELL, Fitwel, TRUE Zero Waste, re-entry, ENERGYSTAR) and sustainability advisory services (such as GRESB and ESG reporting, strategic sustainability roadmap development, Net Zero consulting) for occupier and investor clients
  • Consistently demonstrate subject matter expertise on energy performance, embodied carbon, health and wellness, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, materials selection, zero waste, policies and programs, and overall sustainability in the built environment.
  • Lead, manage, inspire, and collaborate with team members to develop the business case for investment, and manage the implementation of energy efficiency and environmentally responsible projects of all types (interiors, ground-up, existing, portfolio programs)
  • Provide leadership in sustainability consulting for clients across the JLL platform.
  • Represent JLL in local, regional, and national industry/public forums and with clients as a subject matter expert and representative of the firm.
  • Demonstrate passion for the business, ability to energize others, and the willingness to take risks and make tough decisions.
  • Quickly execute proposal creation and other timely deliverables.
  • Act as a resource to advise client on available incentives for sustainable initiatives that can help offset initial capital costs.

Responsibilities

The Capital Planning Program Manager is a tactician responsible for delivering capital planning services for the account. The services include technology configurations, process management, data analytics and strategic advisory. The Program Manager’s core responsibilities are to deploy the capital planning toolkit to clients, manage the tactical building of multi-year real estate capital plans and advise clients on the management, performance and utilization of their plan. The Program Manager will be required to leverage their experience in financial planning, facilities management and construction project management to identify areas of opportunity for clients to save time, money, resources and reduce risk. As a member of the Capital Planning Services Core Operations Team, you will also apply your subject matter expertise to support sales, operations and the global community of practice. You will be called upon to think big, be creative and have an entrepreneurial mindset. You will also be responsible for all MCIM related programs.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

The Capital Planning Program Manager has a minimum of 10 years of corporate real estate experience working across multiple functions including project/program management, facilities management, financial planning and corporate strategy. The successful candidate must have a passion for data, be comfortable managing multiple internal and external stakeholders and be able to influence senior executives.

  • 7+ years of expertise in real estate and construction program/process management. PMP, PgMP & Six Sigma designations are strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience developing project charters (scope, schedules, budgets, business justifications and risk assessments) for a diverse set of real estate and construction projects.
  • 5+ years of real estate and construction finance principles.
  • 5+ years of expertise in facilities management principles related to asset management, lifecycle management and condition inspections.
  • 3+ years of creating and utilizing business intelligence software (Tableau & SSRS experience is strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and advise senior executives via reports, written communications and oral presentations.
  • Understanding of change management and communications structures and planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently and through ambiguity to create structure and consensus.
  • Foresight to predict second and third level impacts to decision making.
  • Expertise and fluidity in Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to use MCIM software
