Job Description

  • Responsible for project health and quality by adhering to established quality and compliance processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project adheres to the SUITE PMM and System Engineering Methodology (SEM), including appropriate and timely transitions through the stages and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for actively evaluating the project to anticipate, identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and issues. Escalates risks and issues when needed.
  • Responsible for facilitating and enforcing the Change Management process (Change Requests) when the project deviates from the approved scope, schedule, or budget. This includes ensuring all Change Requests have appropriate approval before action is taken or information is updated.
  • Responsible for creating project Corrective Action Plans (CAP) when necessary for projects in Yellow or Red status.
  • Responsible for understanding the project benefits and the impact of change requests to the benefits business cases. Responsible for ensuring related project artefacts are updated accordingly.
  • Responsible for project team adherence to information governance activities.
  • Responsible for understanding project interdependencies and ensuring appropriate and timely discussions and actions occur when a project change may have an impact.

Job Description

This position will be expected to perform the following tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for Treasury wide enterprise support.
  • Ensure project alignment with DTMB Strategic Plans
  • Provide content approval and validate estimates for the entire schedule of the project for the Project Manager to ensure compliance with the SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and the Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM).
  • Facilitate requirements gathering/meetings with clients to gather requirements (traditional waterfall and agile) for all IT solutions and to identify impacted business processes and determine best process and IT solution integration.
  • Lead artifact reviews with peers, system specialists, Enterprise Security and other DTMB entities to ensure IT solutions and applications adhere to DTMB and agency policies, standards or guidelines. Coordinate security resources to ensure proper system design based on DTMB and Agency security requirements and standards
  • Develop and maintain an effective communication plan with DTMB, vendors and agency staff relating to project level metrics and reporting, etc.
  • Design and document IT solutions that utilize State of Michigan standard technology.
  • Validate and finalize Local Change Board and Enterprise Change Board documents.
  • Ensure proper change management for all requested fixes to production systems.
  • Ensure proper change management for all requested changes to system designs and system architecture standards are documented.
  • Responsible for development of training content and facilitating training.
  • Approves application-wide integration, performance, system or user acceptance test plans.
  • Validate test data and test results.
  • Differentiate between defects and new requirements and initiate change requests as necessary.
  • Develop and monitor defect tracking logs and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Leads post implementation validation of RFCs (application changes, infrastructure changes, etc.)
  • Evaluate impact of new development tools, languages, upgrades and equipment on agency systems and make recommendations to DTMB and/or agency clients.
  • Serves as Agency Support liaison to outside consultants.
  • Serve as a liaison between DTMB and the client concerning application requests, standards, and other program and project matters.
  • Takes lead role in audit investigation, security reviews and risk assessment document creation.

Job Description

  • This position is for a Project Manager (PM1) to assist the State of Michigan Project Management Office supporting Department of Treasury, Lottery and Gaming with a multi-year high priority project. T
  • his role, as part of the DTMB Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), works closely with DTMB Agency Services technical teams as well as with agency executives/stakeholders in the delivery of TREAS APPS PCI Compliance Project for 2021 2022 in work related to the following controls: secure network, account management, incident response planning and completion of SAQ-A.
  • This junior PM will also work in the delivery of PCI Compliance Projects for 2021 2022 iterative process to ensure that SOM has implemented policies, procedures, and secure system configurations in accordance with the PCI-DSS requirements which are designed to protect cardholder data.
  • This project covers the project management efforts and high-level technical guidance efforts for the Enterprise level technical compliance.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-vendor deployment supporting a hybrid workforce (combination of on-site and remote work) at all levels of the organization. Applicants should possess exceptional communication and follow up skills along with significant experience in formal IT project management.
  • This position requires the PM to be working in person for 2-3 days a week and reminder can be work from home.
