Job-Overview

We are seeking an Agile Coach to join our Product and Agile Center of Excellence. In this position, you will be coaching senior leadership through product and agile transformation, enabling leaders to create high performing product teams through lean-agile leadership.

The Agile Coach role within Edward Jones serves to connect firm level strategy and prioritization to the execution activities of product management, teamwork, and responsibility-based management. The Coach serves as a mentor, coach and guide to the firm and its teams in the implementation and transformation to agile mindset, processes, and tools to ensure effective outcomes for the firm.

The Agile Coach is a champion for change and fostering a continuous learning environment. They continuously seek to identify and clarify team goals, alignment, and foster an environment of trust and innovation aligning and adding to the strategy of the Product and Agile Center of Excellence.

In This Role You Will

  • Coach matrixed Digital Product and Portfolio teams and their leaders to effectively navigate change and develop the ability to work within a transforming system
  • Provide strategic coaching, consulting and support for business owners and senior leadership
  • Enable organizational agility by creating the conditions and alignment for change
  • Develop and deliver lean-agile leadership training and curriculum solutions to the organization to support organizational change and education.
  • Participate in agile coach working groups or Centers of Excellence to develop and build strategies for transformation
  • Coach and mentor other Agile Coaches
  • Report to Team Leader, Product & Agile Center of Excellence, this role will provide organizational change and leadership coaching to agile business owners and senior leadership.

Skills-Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • Preferred Advanced Degree or Certification in Organizational Change, Business, Finance, Coaching, or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in coaching, consulting, and/or organizational change; Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Advanced to expert level of understanding of organizational transformation
  • Prior coaching experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • ICF, IC-Agile, or SPC certification preferred
  • Within the first 6 months, associate is required to obtain an agile certification

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to define and cast directional vision across all organizational levels;
  • Ability to overcome ambiguity and deliver transformative results;
  • Teamwork / collaboration mindset with the ability to work with stakeholders throughout the organization;

Decision Making

  • Will make decisions that ensure successful product and agile activations across the firm
  • Will engage with leaders across divisions to develop lean-agile leadership cohorts and communities of practice
  • Must understand when to escalate decisions to the Product and Agile Center of Excellence

Span of Influence

  • Will work independently and proactively
  • Responsible to and positively represent the Product & Agile Center of Excellence
  • Advise and recommend actions with multiple business champions, vendors, and all levels of leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Division and cross-divisional leaders to ensure technology vision alignment
