Title:                 Project Manager

Summary: 

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall quality of the Mach7 Technologies implementation experience. Serving as the primary point of contact for new installation accounts, Project Managers are responsible for providing project leadership in the coordination and execution of implementation milestones. The Project Manager is accountable for the maintenance of project methodologies (e.g., project workplans, status reports, issue resolution), coordination of internal and, where applicable, client resources, and the development and maintenance of client relationships. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple enterprise software implementation projects concurrently. 
  • Manage projects to meet requirements of Customer contracts and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Perform readiness assessments (infrastructure, modality, HL-7 integration, resourcing etc.)
  • Perform workflow review, including assessment of current workflow, systems communications, and use, radiology, and other ancillary service workflow.
  • Lead implementation planning including project planning, maintaining project schedules, managing risks and issues to mitigation, resource coordination, facilitation of meetings and timely status reporting.
  • Provide guidance on the development and delivery of operational procedures for radiologists, technologists, referring physicians, technology administrators, and a client’s Information Technology Department.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper training of client resources. 

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as Project Manager, preferably in PACS implementations. PMP certification a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with PACS and/or Radiology applications
  • BS degree preferred.
  • Radiologist Technologist certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%. 
  • Deep and extensive knowledge and experience using project management tools, imaging workflow, and other healthcare IT-related tools, as well as enterprise software implementations.
  • Well developed time and priority management skills, as well as problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and procedures, as well the willingness to adapt.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Program Management

Manage and provide administrative oversight for large-scale programs, projects and initiatives, including but not limited to Designing Resiliency and Well-being (DRAW), STEM Illinois, and The Nobel Project.

  • Serve as a liaison and a primary point of contact connecting the college with community members, participants, faculty, staff, students, stakeholders, and related partner programs/initiatives both on campus and in the community.
  • Create collaborative work groups and task forces to assess/identify needs, ideas and innovation around health and wellness, in particular around health disparities and social determinants of health.
  • Independently monitor and respond to action items and stakeholder requests to ensure programs/initiatives are moving forward effectively and efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain the logistics of programs, workshops, seminars and conferences. This involves managing events from initial concept, soliciting participation, program creation, application and registration systems, promotional material, recruitment of participants, registration logistics, on-site coordination of event activities, and post-event assessment and reporting. This may also include identifying content and delivering information for programs.
  • Develop and maintain web pages, apps, webcasts, informational materials, and other forms of media/marketing for outreach and communications. Coordinate publicity and marketing efforts with the Carle Illinois Office of Marketing and Communications.
  • Identify and coordinate guest speakers and presenters for webcasts and special events.
  • Develop and maintain program and participant data using web-based technologies, database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Develop, maintain and renew Institutional Review Board approval for research projects and exempt projects. This includes adding new members to the research team.
  • Create a database for protection of minor certificates and/or background checks for guest lectures and mentors.

Activities Include

Work with faculty, staff, students, stakeholders and community members to develop, implement, and administer specific group/community activities, speakers/presentations, and initiatives under supported programs.

  • Develop and implement an infrastructure to train a large number of Community Health Workers, starting with middle and high school students in the Nobel Project.
  • Partner with college leaders and staff to organize and implement the Carle Illinois Health Maker Lab Competition (Fall make-a-thon with medical students and spring makea-thon with general public)
  • Develop, implement and manage projects, activities and events in support of the Designing Resiliency and Well-being (DRAW) initiative.
  • Develop, implement and administer outreach and engagement for Citizen Scientists, connecting them with faculty and opportunities at the university and in the community.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact to develop and manage Pathway Programs, connecting under-represented students to the college, campus and careers in health care.
  • Organize community events including community health fairs, and community art competitions.

Assessment and Reporting

  • Work closely with the Associate Dean to both track and drive progress toward ensuring project milestones are met, and ensure that effort is aligned with project goals.
  • Identify, track, and analyze performance-related data for programs and projects, generating data-intensive periodic reports.
  • Support grant-funded projects, including managing grant activities and objectives, measuring outcomes and developing intermittent and final reports to funding agencies and stakeholder groups.
  • Provide operational support and oversight to ensure programs meet funding guidelines for submission and reporting.
  • Help to manage grant budgets, track spending and develop spending reports.

Education

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Social, Behavioral, Life sciences or a related field.

Experience

Required: Two years of experience with program or project management. Experience with information gathering, managing data, tracking milestones, and preparing reports.

Preferred

  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in higher education, public sector service, or community outreach and engagement.
  • Proficiency with social media and other web-based communications technologies.
  • Grant development and grant management experience.

Appointment Information

This is a full-time, Civil Service, Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after August 9, 2021. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Purpose Statement:

The Program Manager is accountable for the success of IDT wide initiatives that involve multiple strategic projects. Strategically, they oversee the planning, execution and implementation of the projects within the program. As a people leader, the Program Manager directs the work of project managers leading projects within the program. They identify and resolve cross-project dependencies and facilitate communication between cross-functional teams. They ensure effective and efficient utilization of organization resources and deliver the intended business outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with business owners to plan and develop the program scope and governance structure. Align projects with the program objectives and define program success metrics and measurement criteria. Holds self accountable for overall program success and consistently seeks opportunities to exceed program goals. Delivery of a quality business outcome is key.
  • Define and develop program artifacts and processes that best fit the needs of IDT and leverage industry best practices. Create and maintain the appropriate program artifacts (examples: program charter, program level master schedule, communication plan, resource plan, risks log, etc.)
  • Connect program and project communication and reporting with strategic business initiatives. Develop communication plans and interfaces to proactively engage stakeholders (internal and external) and IDT leadership. Ensure communication with PMO leadership and IDT leadership is proactive, professional and concise.
  • Manage all aspects of the program and work with project managers to oversee all phases of project completion. Manage scope to ensure project commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost and quality. Manage program spend and validate financial forecasts. Manage cross project dependencies with project managers that are part of the program. Ensure change management both organizationally and within the program.
  • Manage program risks. Collect, analyze, evaluate and mitigate program risks and projects risks relevant at the program level.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration and performance to efficiently deliver the strategic program objectives. Ensure deliverables for each project are complementary to other projects and that timelines align for work to be done efficiently.
  • As a people leader, motivate, direct, coach, mentor and evaluate performance of project managers leading projects within the program. In addition, provide oversight for any external resources contracted at the program level.
  • Build effective relationships and quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders, IDT Leadership and program resources
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop enhancements or new processes based on best practices. Coordinate with others in PMO and the organization to implement process changes
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (required)
  • Project management certification (preferred)

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years project management experience serving in the role as a project manager (required) and two years experience serving in the role of a Program Manager (preferred)
  • Minimum of ten years work experience (required) in a high tech or biotech company (preferred)
  • Minimum of two years management experience (preferred)
  • Experience with of software development and process change control (required)

ENGIE North America is searching for talented individuals to complete the build out of our local team. This position will help steer the success of long-term capital improvement and sustainment projects with our University of Iowa partner.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for execution of the Utility Master Plan to include:
    • (1) condition assessments for extending the life cycle and reliability of critical systems and components within the utility infrastructure;
    • (2) performance efficiencies to reduce the university’s energy and utility operations costs and
    • (3) sustainability initiatives to eliminate coal as a fuel source and reduce the university’s carbon footprint. Project management scope encompasses engineering conception and design, procurement, construction, financial administration, commissioning, and initial operations.
  • Becomes a core member of the Program Management Team (PMT) with fellow Project Managers to provide leadership, oversight, reporting and support through all phases of project development and execution. Coordinates and communicates with all project stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Establishes project objectives, develops the project plan, budget and schedule.
  • Partners with Program Managers to identify potential projects and develop business justifications.
  • Provides leadership for energy efficiency projects in campus buildings, in addition to campus utility projects.
  • Provides overall direction of project activities including engineering, procurement, construction, financial administration, commissioning, and initial operations.
  • Administrates contracts to include the development of project specifications, a detailed scope of work and principle contract provisions, working closely with corporate Contracts Management and the Procurement Department in Houston.
  • Develops work packages for execution to include: Statement of Scope, Change Management, Performance Testing, QA/QC Requirements, Parts/Tools, Man-hours, Material Procurement, Technical Data Sheets, Drawings/Specifications, Task Procedures and Job Safety Plans.
  • Coordinates with the Contracts Manager to frame the RFQs and RFPs to include contract negotiations and changes.
  • Lead pre-bid and pre-construction walk throughs and provide RFI responses and addenda. Analyze bids and participate in section of design professional, vendor or contractor, as applicable.
  • Ensures quality and technical execution of work are within schedule and budget through the establishment of milestone dates, budget allocations and control or expenditures.
  • Responsible for the integrated performance of the project team, putting in place Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans. Deviations from standards are identified, root causes determined, corrective actions taken, and change management applied as required for process improvements.
  • Prepares a procedures manual that is tailored to the specific project, providing the framework for the overall operations of the project team.
  • Manages and controls all change orders to ensure project proceeds in a planned manner, within budget and on schedule.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field from an ABET institution required.
    • Major in a disciplined Engineering curriculum preferred.
    • Licensed Professional Engineer or passing of the Fundamental Engineering (FE) exam and/or PMP certification is a plus.
    • 5-7 years of experience in management of construction, industrial or municipal projects.
    • Campus project experience desired.
  • Mastery of problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

The Project Engineer directs and coordinates exercises functional authority for planning- organization- control- integration and completion of engineering project for the plant or within the area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school or related field strongly preffered
  • 0-3 years of experience or full cycle Project Engineering experience.
  • Strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems- packaging methods- and materials- electronics and computer applications- and electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills are required for presentations to factory staffs on technical issues or specific project activity.

Primary duties include independently leading multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for treatment plant upgrades including nutrient removal, biosolids digestion and handling, sidestream treatment and disinfection. The candidate will also support marketing efforts, is expected to be a client manager for multiple clients and be an integral component in the expansion of our wastewater treatment portfolio in the area.

Other specific responsibilities include working directly with clients, wastewater process design, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection, reviewing engineering specifications, and permitting and regulatory compliance. The project manager will be responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget.

The selected candidate will have excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills, as they will work directly with the owner. The ability to establish client relations is important because they will be involved in client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • All contract performance related activities, tied to customer(s) or program(s). Perform as interface between the customer and the internal business team, managing the transfer of information and requests. Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations, solutions to issues. Responsible for adherence to contract service, operations, and performance specifications, as well as financial & technical metrics specific to contract. May also support proposal and negotiations.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • These sales jobs will mainly be individual contributors. A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Product Management & Program Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently searching for a Project Manager who has an Instrument & Electrical background and is experienced in the chemical manufacturing industry. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing small facility based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of our customer's capital project’s group in Bayport, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that clear and complete scopes, schedules, and budgets are prepared and accepted by the client for assigned projects
  • Develop and documents the execution plan for each project which is scaled to the size and complexity of that project
  • Determine the resources needed by the project in order to execute it efficiently
  • Is responsible for applying sound engineering practices
  • Provide guidance to the project team to accomplish the scope of work and achieve project goals, schedule milestones and cost & quality objectives
  • Responsible for prompt recognition, documentation, and communication of scope and design changes and for client authorization prior to scope changes
  • Maintain and tracks scope, schedule, cost, and quality trends throughout the project
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all deliverables and services provided by the project
  • Hold regular project meetings and communicates regularly to keep all team members and project stake holders up to date on the status of the project, progress against milestones, costs, schedule progress, and other critical or contractual items
  • Work with on-site and external construction and maintenance contractors to assure that projects are completed as intended
  • Has responsibility for project completion, including quality of deliverables, and closeout

Skills / Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree
  • 10+ years of Industrial Experience working as a project engineer or project manager
  • Experience managing projects in a chemical manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of and experience with the instrumentation and electrical technology currently being used in the chemical manufacturing industry
  • A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the scope of work for a project
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) a plus
